I thought somebody posted on here about this more recently. I thought I read on here about someone having to witness you giving the sample or checking for something.
So today when i went for a pre-employment urine drug screen, I thought that because I had to go to a certain designated place at a designated collection time, that I would have been supervised.
So I wore a jockstrap, figuring I'd have to strip in front of someone to give a real sample. But when I was brought to the room, I was asked to empty my pockets, then go in the bathroom and wash my hands. Then I was given a beaker to pee in, and what the minimum level was. i was told i could shut the door behind me, but not to wash my hands or flush the toilet.
But this was another place, aside from where I go to physical therapy, that has the paper towel dispenser outside the bathroom. So I usually go to the bathroom with the door open so that my wet washed hands don;t touch the doorknob. Only because i was directed not to wash my hands after peeing (though ultimately after I gave the sample, I could), my hands weren't wet.
Maybe if I had to go for a random test, or a test based on suspicion, it may have been supervised? For some reason, I woke up this morning kind of excited at the prospect that I might be watched by a medical professional.
