Men - ever seen your own semen under a microscope?

Did it numerous times as a teenager using a microscope.

I never got to see my own sperm but my late wife did. She was having the usual problems conceiving so her GP decided to do a post coital test. We were told to have sex after 10 pm and she had a 9 am appointment the next day. Her GP took a swab from her cervix and transferred the sample to a slide and she got to see my sperm swimming around happily under the microscope...

I brought my sperm sample to science class, in the 8th grade. Only one trusted classmate knew what I was looking at under the microscope. If the teacher only knew that I was thinking of her, when I masturbated.

Wow, I had no idea the cheap microscope I received for Christmas one year would be capable of that kind of resolution. Instead of looking at fibers and onion skin, I would have certainly studied my ejaculate. It is too late now living in a post vasectomy world.

I remember looking in my very early teens & not seeing anything. I didn't know I was looking at precum at the time... didn't even know what ejaculation meant. I was having wet dreams at the time, but didn't even know what was going on with those.

I did as a science nerd teen. They were pretty easy to resolve under the microscope my parents had bought me. In fact, I had bought a hemocytometer from a science supply house. This is a glass microscope slide engraved with very fine lines that, following directions, allowed one to do a count of blood cells, red and white, for clinical purposes. Prior to the advent of automated Coulter Counters this is how all blood counts were done and required a lab technician looking thru a microscope with a hand counter for each requested blood count. It was indeed very labor intensive. I had spent many hours hanging out at our local clinic lab watching the technician doing various tests including blood counts and eventually decided I needed to be able to do them myself at home. I quickly realized I could also do a sperm count on myself. And I instantly realized getting a semen sample from myself was way more pleasant than pricking my finger for a blood sample.
