Folks go back and take a look at the quality of responses to this post - This is medfet at its best. Better known as female ejaculation - it remains a true enigma (on several levels). I came to studying this in a rather unusual way. While freshening up my teaching notes on the clitoris I chanced upon a bibliography with mentioning the book G-Spot

So I went to our local library (part of a large consortium with 75 co-operating members and 20,000,000 plus books.) I checked the catalog and found 32 copies, 31 of which had the notation “See Librarian” what this means is that 31 copies had been stolen! Well I got more than I had hoped for! I check out the book and was looking in the stacks when a librarian who I have long been fond of came up to me and said, “Did you find your book ‘interesting’ ? With a twinkle in her eye. I said “I haven’t started it yet” She then went on to say, “I flood” when I have sex I become a virtual pond. Well she gave me a sample (soaked tampon) in a Zip-Loc bag. I decided to analyze the sample before I read anything. Here’s what I found:
Not urine – neither urea nor creatinine were present both major constituents of urine
Not Bartholin gland secretion – Did not produce a fern pattern on drying
Not starch – Iodine test was negative – I didn’t think she was offering a fictitious sample
Not semen – No spermatozoa – No fructose
Anyone with an interest in chemistry wishing to take up the ball?
So next I read the book – it was challenging – I like books that offer more questions than answers. Here is what I gathered
No one has been able to find any anatomical proof that this spot even exists. Despite careful histological (cell) studies under the microscope, no one has found anything different that surrounding tissue in terms of innervations.
Despite this – the author Alice Laddus found on survey 10% of all women experienced ejaculation and a good number ejaculated! Now here in the group we have all these splendid anecdotal reports which suggests even higher percentages. Now it could be that only those who experience this phenomena have stepped forward.
What a fertile field for someone interested in research! I would start with a poll – then an intensive medical history. Physical examination on cam would clinch it!
