Well, I don't have a set schedule, sundays are a certainty and any other time I can get one in, I like doing a series 2 to 4 at a time.
It varies depending on how my colon is working. Clock starts on the day there isn't a bowel movement. On the third morning if there is not any action then it is time for an enema.I was alternating between a 3 qt soapy enema and a 3 qt baking soda solution enema, but this weekI decided to use soap again. I think it was a better enema, so I will continue to use soap, Dr Bronner's peppermint, for my cleansing enemas. I use either a Foley tube or a colon tube for these enemas. I start and stop the flow to allow the water to disperse through my colon. Typically between five to seven minutes total.Activities permitting, I also indulge in a smaller - 1.5 qt - baking soda solution enema on Sunday mornings. This is a retention session using a double balloon tube. Wifey massages my abdomen during the retention. I get to relax and relish the sensations. We use a massage table for this, height adjusted so she is comfortable while she massages me. She likes doing the massage, which is nice.
As often as I want or need to. There's no routne as to when. I would say that it probably averages out to be one or two sessions a month. A session might be 3 or 4 enemas if I take 2 cofee enemas.
I have IBS-C and can control it with enemas. I take 2 enemas every 3 weeks. The first is 1500cc of a mild Castile soapy water enemw, followed by a very warm (108 degrees), 2500cc enema.
I do Wednesday and Sunday every week, just like I was raised, now I do as many thru the week as I want, like most on here there are times when I will do several in a day, for several days and then it slows down, but like all Klismos I crave them and have to have them, so its never less than 4 per week.
As often as the need arises or the urge is too great to ignore. That being said, I am safe, sane, and a proponent of the positive effects of this simple procedure and indulgence.
I try to have my two-quart coffee enema every day and usually miss one day out of a week or two, at most.
Not as often as I used to!I'm a mother of twins and a professional woman, with a husband who also has a demanding job, a mortgage, and a dog.
I try and take a minimum of 2 enemas every day. I have done this for many years now and am in excellent health. Some days I take more depending on time. Better than a back rub.
Lately I have been doing one or two every morning for quite some time now; soapsuds or salt water enemas are my preference. I feel great being cleaned out everyday now and have noticed no adverse effects from this daily regimen.
Every couple days or so when I have the house to myself......which isn't very often. Beyond that, it's usually about once a month when I have the opportunity to slide one in.....pun intended. 😢
As I live alone and have the house to myself, I take a soothing enema every night to relax before going to bed.
For the past 14 years I have tried to do an enema series of 3 at least every other week. Tomorrow I plan to take one as my last one was 4 weeks ago I was going on vacation and I wanted to be sure that my bowels were working well without assistance. Everything worked well so treat myself (bowels) to a nice enema session of at least 3 hours.
