I've had a number of colonics in the last year or so. I"ve found a great therapist, and she is very sensitive to my needs (tho not erotic, of course); however, I still prefer the enema, despite the benefits of colonics.
Here are my reasons:
1. For me personally, a series of enemas actually empties me out better--but then I do four, increasing volume each time and fully expelling each time, until I truly reach capacity. When I do a colonic, my bowels are not as empty as when I do enemas this way.
2. The feelings. For some reason, the pressure and the feelings of the enema are much more intense than those of a colonic.
3. I find that the nozzle to which the colonic system is attached actually promotes a "less than full" state. The reason? With an enema, I can use various means to get the tube or nozzle up higher, past the top of the rectum. As those used to colon tubes know, the higher the injection site, the easier it is to take a larger volume of water.
Having said all that, I have a colonic scheduled for next Wednesday, and I'm looking forward to it with great anticipation.
