A few quick impressions. I'll write this in more detail elsewhere (probably my blog). I'm also creating a new image gallery for this.
I set up two enema bags, each equipped with it new double-balloon nozzle. One (my red bag) had 4 liters of very warm water to be used as the rinse solution. If needed I could obviously refill that one as many times as I wanted. The other bag was my 5 liter "clear" silicone bag. I mixed 3.5 liters of a warm, very soapy, 10% glycerin enema solution (350 ml in 3.15 liters of water. The advantage of that bag is that, in addition to see how much solution is in the bag, the Higginson pump allows me to do a recirculation mix of the solution. (I pour the glycerin in first before adding the soapy water. For fun I have filled the hose and pump with pure glycerin and then added the water solution "above the glycerin" in the bottom of the bag. Although some mixing does occur by the action of pouring in the bag, the initial solution flowing into me is initially 100% glycerin before being diluted down by the flow coming down the tube. A very different enema with quite a kick to it.)
I wasn't sure whether I'd be able to take the whole bag in one filling or whether I'd break it into two fillings. Such is the advantage of large bags.
First, the nozzle isn't as "filling" as the silicone nozzle. I didn't expect it to be since it is advertised as a 250 cc double- balloon nozzle. I can feel it inflate within me, but those last two pumps don't put anywhere near the same type of contact pressure on the rectum. It is also easier to be pushed out by the enema solution pressure if it builds to fast and you aren't prepared on paying attention. Thankfully my video camera is waterproof and washable as it got hit be a sudden "blowout" when I wasn't really paying attention to how much pressure was being placed on the inner (distal) balloon.
Second, the balloon is more rounded than the silicone balloon. Although the silicone balloon rounds out when inflated, it tends to have a flat bottom for sitting on the "floor" of my rectum. This affects how easy it can be to push the balloon out.
Third, the nozzle isn't as "deep" as the silicone nozzle. There is a shorter distance between the nozzle tip and where the balloon seats in the rectum. The feeling when I open the valve is somewhat different because of where the enema solution is introduced. However, it also has a similar effect as the solution fills my rectum and sigmoid of the internal balloon moving a repositioning as the liquid pressure expands the colon tissues.
Fourth, like any of these inflatable nozzles, especially the fluted ones, it is helpful to have the rectum clear of any fecal matter. This helps make sure the balloon provides an adequate seal.
Fifth, although I do like the inflating bulbs and their screw venting system and the fact that they have reliable check valves, the stems for inserting into the tube are somewhat short and can be knocked loose/fallout if they are jostled too much causing sudden balloon deflation. I understand why some people put control valves on these inflation tubes. I do have inflation bulbs with longer stems with a push button deflation capacity. They don't come loose as easily.
Finally, partly as a result of my running volume, bowel movements tend to be a bit more compact and perhaps "compressed" within my colon. Sometimes the solution tends to have difficulty flowing further up into the colon if I open the valve to a high flow. This can provide a lot of pressure (which I attribute to the initial blowout I experienced). As the enema solution softens and dissolves the fecal matter, I can increase the volume with less sense of pressure. In this case, I only had 1.5 liters in me when the nozzle popped out. I held it as long as I could without the balloon before expelling some of the solution. I then refilled myself with the remaining two liters (which filled me with less pressure). I let the glycerin soap solution do its job and as the contractions got stronger I did have to hold the tube and balloons in place.
I switched to the rinse enema bag and the other balloon nozzle. Much less difficulty with that combination and I was quite thoroughly cleaned out.
