Frank01, jimmy and others,
The Vetmed.co stated price is $100 USD with free ground shipping, same as when I bought mine last year. The delivery time is good and the quality is excellent. I'm sure other places are fine, too, but I bought mine here because it was the lowest price I found in the US. No complaints, and it really works once you're used to how it fits with your body and number of inflations used. The only caveat I can think of is that I don't remember if VetMed sends it with inflator bulbs or not. I may have used my old ones from a prior catheter from the Beth Tyler site. You can email them and ask. As I recall, they responded quickly.
Moliere, I've not measured the balloon size on this DBC when inflated, but if you want I could do it and post the results. I've seen the balloons inflated, and just by visual comparison with some of my plugs, it sure looked a lot bigger than 1.5" diameter. Feels much bigger inside me as well.
As far as cleaning, mine is latex with an unknown (to me) rubber type for the black inflator bulbs. I just use antibacterial hand soap and hot water to keep it clean, occasionally using a Q-tip in the three end holes if I think it needs it. I keep the inflators bulbs and metal screw valves dry. I wash it almost immediately after use, including a full bag of hot water run through it, and haven't had any problems or residual odors. Does anyone know of a cleaning/sterilization fluid that would not harm the latex?
