I'm curious if anyone has thought about exams outside the exam room and what alternate locations you have thought of?
In my fantasy world of imaginings, I tend to think of old houses, 19th century town houses or else ornate, large Victorian/Belle Epoque era houses with veritable mazes of rooms and stories piled on top of one another, with hallways and stairs and small rooms and closets in the most unlikely places.
Many older doctors used to have their consultancies in such houses and in smaller towns in France you can still see such houses with plaques of doctors names or specializations engraved in brass. Sometimes the doors are open to the street during consult hours and you can see the houses are still decorated in an old fashioned manner.
Whenever I see such houses, my imagination can go into overdrive with me imagining all sorts of rooms where medical procedures or exams are conducted. There is something mysterious and sensuous and also apprehensive about such places. As if they were places were one goes to have the older type of embarrassing and uncomfortable types of treatments and exams.
