The Toddler age comes with many new restrictions due to their inability to stay focused and follow directions. Toddlers tend to be easily distracted and then they run off to do whatever they want. This leads to them being in dangerous situations that has to be dealt with.
The Classic solution is the walking harness with a leash that allows their caregiver to keep them close at hand. I quick tug and they are reminded that they are required to mind their caregiver.
The versatility of the harness allow for a toddler to be secured where every there caregiver chooses.
They can be secured into their high chair, stoller or even the grocery cart.
If they have gained the ability to climb the harness can be used to keep the toddler in his playpen via a short well anchored leash.
If they toddler has issues settling down at night a pair of leashes attached to the harness will ensure that they stay is the horizontal position. Either on their back or tummy, whichever their caregiver thinks is best.
If their caregiver wants to give them more freedom a longer leash can be secured to a fix point such as a tree or fence post.
If a long leash is not a option the short leash could be attached to the clothesline, allowing the toddler to have access to a strip of grass in the backyard.
If the caregiver finds themselves in a situation where the toddler can reach out and touch things that the shouldn't a pair of wrist cuffs secured to the side of the harness will solve that conundrum. Just cross their arms and secure their wrist with the cuffs and they will no longer be able to touch what is forbidden.
Now sometimes the toddler may develop surprising skills and the are able to undo the harness and wonder off. To prevent this from occurring the caregiver should secure the buckles with padlocks. this should be done long before the toddler learns to remove the harness to ensure there is no surprises.
A caregiver must always be one step ahead of their charge.
