Authentic incontinence
I know some of you younger members fantasize about being incontinent. when I was a kid I always thought about what it would be like to actually need diapers. years later I got a taste of it after some post-op complications. I have fond memories of getting to wear diapers around the clock. while I still experience urgency problems that hit fast and unexpectedly, I rarely suffer public accidents. which is a good thing because I'm talking about bowel accidents. I never had a problem with bladder control aside from my bedwetting. a few of my siblings also wet at night and were diapered like I was. the diapering was considered simply a practical management technique. I tell you this so you can understand the rather casual attitude we had about needing to wear diapers. the point is that I didn't freak out when i had to start wearing them again.
short version: bowel resection (removal of aprox. 2 ft. of decending colon) after some severe but local diverticulitis. as with all major invasive procedures, the recovery was difficult. continence returned quickly but i experienced severe urgency issues of great intensity and little warning. mercifully it wasn't diarrhea. but with the constant intake of doctor ordered metamucil for fiber therapy, i was pooping like a horse. it wouldn't have been so bad if it had just been once a day. but i was pooping enormous loads 3 or 4 times a day. sometimes i would still be half asleep in bed when i would get hit with an intense urge to go. NOW. after repeated attempts at rushing off to the bathroom in a futile effort to use the toilet, i surrendered and started to just go in my diapers. most days it was a real pleasure but i have to admit, it sometimes was nothing but inconvenient.
I'm a life-long diaper enthusiast so needing to wear them again was fun. most of the time.
as you can imagine there were quite a few public accidents. I can honestly say that I enjoyed most of them and was able to be discreet for a good many of the events. but there were several episodes that really embarrassed me. someday when I have more time, I'll share one of them as a true story and submit it. That is if anyone was at all interested.
I would be curious as to how many other members experienced actual incontinence that resulted in a period of diaper dependency. anyone?
