Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Depends on solution, volume, what's already in my guts and how cooperative my colon is that day. I don't intentionally go for cramps, but then again I don't try to avoid at all costs. If I cramp I cramp, and I can tolerate it - fixing the problem is worth it several times over. I don't know what my opinion would be on cramps for a sensual/sexual enema - haven't quite gotten there yet, but if I do I'll be interested to find out.
My "best" enemas are when I get rapid and smooth peristalsis that moves everything out quickly and relatively comfortably, although I often do have some light cramping. It's not a big deal and short duration.
Second best enemas are when it gets pretty crampy but still works well and everything comes out by the second or third enema. I don't love the cramps, but I tolerate them and I like having things working again.
The worst enemas are when the bowel is uncooperative and the enema just trickles out over a couple hours without bringing the crap with it. Usually no cramps, just frustration and feeling bad.
Second worst are when it seems like it's going to be completely uncooperative but either clicks into gear or a second enema gets things moving. Sometimes cramps, sometimes not. Again, the relief more than makes up for any cramps.
The cramps from oral stimulants are something I avoid. You don't know how long they're going to last, you don't know how strong they'll be, and you don't know when things will finally start moving. Enemas are predictable most of the time.
