I really want to do heart examination after exercise

Having a real exam with an orthopedic surgeon is the most likely place for physical exercise to occur. The Dr. usually wants to check range of motion of a limb, spinal function. or in my case as a kid, to see how my flat feet were landing after jumping. I had a chemical stress EKG last year before my AAA repair. You do no treadmill exercise, but they shoot a heart stimulating chemical in your IV that mimics exercise and check your EKG. I passed with flying colors. They told me I had the ejection fraction of a 35 yr. old person.

I'm curious, why did they stress your heart chemically rather than actually using a treadmill or bike? Was there some reason you were unable to exercise?

Chemical stimulation of the heart with dolbutamide is now the preferred method because it's often difficult to achieve maximum heart rate with exercise. Without achieving maximum predicted age adjusted heart rate exercise test results can be equivocal in determining if ischemic heart disease is present.

I was pleased that I didn't have to run on a treadmill. No sweating, no impact on joints and I had A LOT more tests to do while at the facility. After the CT with contrast, they gave me some Danish and COFFEE! When they told me my heart was in top notch condition, that added to my good mood. The vascular surgeon wanted to know all this data, before he corrected my aortic aneurysm. I still get an ultra sound and see the surgeon every 6 months for life. Tomorrow I get the ultra sound and see the surgeon next Wed.

The tech that was doing my ultra sound was a lovely lady about 35, smearing gel all over my abdomen, just above my pubic area and down my one leg to my foot. She got transferred to a site closer to her home and now two guys do that job. Boring!

I have been required to exercise during 3 visits to the doctor. A minor heart murmur was detected as a teen and my doctor wanted to asses how well my heart recovered after physical activity. I ran in place for three minutes in my underwear after which she listened to my heart. I had a follow up visit 6 months later where I was then given a Harvard Step Test. I was not participating in athletics but my doctor was concerned about beng healthy enough for PE class.

Then about ten years later along came that first adult level complete physical.exam. By this point in my life I was running several miles per day. Once again the same old routine. Heart murmur. Boxer briefs. 3 minutes of running in place then an EKG. I was scheduled for a cardiac stress test a few days later.

I have been an active runner since my USAF days. It has kept me healthy, fit and mentally stable for many years. I have never had any cardiac issues at all despite the murmur...Better safe than sorry though.

In school I was a cheerleader and my doctor the first time had me squat and bend over. I had clothes on. Then my back was injured once and she made me bend over and touch my toes once, bend side to side and that was it. I was clothed also. Well I had on shorts, no shoes and a gown for a top. But none were what I would call exercises. She just wanted to see if I could do it to clear me.

One of my ultimate fantasies is to have to jog in place completely nude in front of a female doctor. She would sit on one of those rolling stools with her sexy legs crossed and observe me jogging with my erection bouncing up and down.

Nothing more than a few arm exercises, bending and twisting and touching toes, all in underpants.

Being obliged to exercise naked while under scrutiny surely adds to the humiliation, the tension and the excitement. Exercising under sexual stress, i.e. Having your genitals held as you move could be very arousing!

I've always thought that exercise should be part of a general exam. It displays mobility and flexibility, as well as indicating general tone and fitness.

Jumping Jacks and Joint Movement are actually pretty common for sports physicals, and I like the idea of them being incorporated into a play exam.

Seemed to be a regular part of the exams growing up to have to do some form of stretching or movements during an exam. When I was in the service it became an every-time thing to do jumping jacks and other exercises while clothed or unclothed

I like to work in some cardio in the beginning with my physicals as well, some jogging to get the heart rate up, then some bending for me as I check the contour of the spine, along with palpating the curvature of the spine, and down to below the tail bone, this way while my patients bent over like this with her bottom in plain view it lets me spread her cheeks and look a little at her rosebud which always starts that embarrassment process

I think doing exercise for a physical is silly, unless you are in for a stress test. And you would never do that naked.

Sorry, but doing pushups or jumping Jack's would ruin any play exam for me.

My recollection is the same as @wino_v2. Only one doc who was an avid jock was always concerned about flexibility. Always wanted me to touch my toes - which back then I could. For my stress EKG’s I wore gym shorts or gym pants and tennis shoes- shirt off to attach the electrodes. Due to an ankle replacement i could’t Run on a treadmill and did it on a stationary bike. Couldn’t get my heart rate even close to 165 ( prescribe rate for my age). Refused the chemical inducement.

I don’t recall ever having to do any exercise in front of a doctor. Some stretches to show range of motion, yes, and I think then only for orthopedic specialist or physical therapist.

I have included some exercise in play exams a couple of times where patient would jog in place or do jumping jacks in their underwear or naked. I’m between exercise intervals I’ve checked for temperature (rectally, of course) and pulse changes.

Does a stress test count? If you’re a woman you’re usually doing them topless - I’ve done both treadmill and stationary bike. I prefer the bike as your boobs don’t flop around as much.

I had to do the bend over, side to side as a teen in panties only. Later as an adult. I have scoliosis.

Exercises when naked? Almost always when I had a complete physical, for various reasons, every two years. First, let me point out, without any malice, that my physician was gay. It was common knowledge. That meant very little to me. I had always received good medical care from him; and his father before him. That was important to me.

My appointments were always scheduled so that I was the last patient scheduled that particular day. The waiting room procedure was the usual. When the nurse called me back, I was conducted to a room and told to have a seat, and that the doctor would be in shortly. She took no vitals; nothing. That was the last I would see any of the office staff that day. When I left the office all of them had left for the day.

When Dr. G. came in the room I was told to "Strip." For the next 45 to 60 minutes, that's the way I stayed. Not a stitch on and no gown. When it came to the cardio/respiratory part of the exam; I was to do 10 to 20 jumping jacks and run in place for one minute. Not easy tasks on cold smooth tile floors. Then onto the exam table so he could listen with his stethoscope. If he felt he wanted a faster heart rate; both procedures were repeated.

Incidentally, when my spine was checked; I was told to, turn around, spread my feet, bend over and place both hands flat on the floor, or at least touch the floor with finger tips. I'm sure more than my spine was viewed. I knew this was not common practice; but I really sort of enjoyed it. My very thorough prostate exams were always bent over the exam table, and then on the table in the knee-chest position. I miss those head-to-toe physical exams.

During a company medical I had an ECG done while on a treadmill, the machine was set at walking pace but on an incline so it got me hot and my pulse up nicely. I was naked above the waist and had the electrodes stuck to the usual places.

My play doctor has me do sit ups, stretches, and jumping jacks when I’m naked, then he listens to my heart afterwards. It’s really nice having the old doc see my erection bouncing up and down.

Performing or watching others exercise naked is firmly on my play exam activities list. Sadly, it's never been required during my real life exams. Jumping jacks, running in place, handstand, squats are all fun especially while being probed by a doctor's gloved hand or while having cold steel instruments inserted.

For a real exam? No.

For play exams, it’s almost always incorporated. The doctor has me naked and will make me touch my toes, do push-ups, lunges, and jumping jacks. The doctor will listen to my racing heartbeat and check BP.

I'd find that far more embarrassing than either doing exercises just in my underwear or indeed completely naked. Stripping off my top half, then taking off my trainers to take off my trousers and boxers, but then putting my trainers back on to do exercises in while the rest of my bottom half is totally exposed and my willy is bouncing up and down while I'm working out. I think being dressed on just my feet somehow draws attention to the rest of you being naked.
