How about being rolled on a gurney through the ER hallways? I worked at a lumber yard after school. I was cutting cardboard boxes with a carpet knife that had a new blade. I had my left foot up on a cinder block that was by the dumpster. I cut down through one of the corners and didn't even realise I'd cut my leg bad right in the upper thigh. I was bleeding pretty bad.
I got to the ER. They were busy, but they took me right back. Two nurses quickly took my pants and shirt off. I was holding my underware over the cut trying to cut down on the bleeding a little. One of the nurses got a wad of gauze and said she was going to slide her hand down into my underware and put pressure on the cut and I should move my hand out of the way when she slid hers into position. We quickly did this and the other nurse pulled my bloody underware off. Of course I was nude on the gurney.
All this was done in a small 'cubicle' that was just screened off on the sides. People had been walking back and forth in the hall at my feet where there was no curtain. I layed there with the one nurse while the other one ran off to check on a room to stitch me up in. I don't know how many people walked past the end of that curtained area. Mostly medical personel I'm sure, but I'd seen some street clothes too. A couple of times familys being shown back to a patient already on a gurney.
The other nurse came back and said a room had just opened up, it would be ready by the time they got me there. They wheeled me out into the hall when the 2nd nurse said hold up a second. She got a short cotton coverup and threw it across me. It covered my right side, but the nurse covering my cut up wanted to see where she was applying pressure. She had the corner of the throw just barely covering my groin. If you were standing to the left of the gurney, you could see everything under it.
They had to wheel me through the crowd waiting at the desk and milling around the waiting room. I was never so glad to get past the double doors and into the "No admittance past this point" sign. By the time we were 10 feet past the doors the vibration and breeze had uncovered my groin again. They wheeled me into a room. The throw had got some blood on it and the one nurse pulled it off. I was laying there nude again. Another nurse walked in and they discussed shaving me but decided they couldn't get close enough to the cut to do any good. They painted me up with some sort of germ killer. One of the ER docs walked in and looked at the cut site. He shot all around the cut with numbing stuff and then told the one nurse to "cover his genitals" and wait a few minutes. I was thankful he told the nurses to cover me. He came back, talked to me a little and stitched me up. 13 stitches later, I was pulling on some shorts my parents brought to me from home and I was on my way
