RELAX!! It'll be OK!
People all over the world do it all the time.
Take your time. Make sure you have enough privacy long enough to get through it.
I am used to closed-top HWB style bags for the first few rounds only have a couple of open-top bags.
With the closed top bag, Put the soapsuds in FIRST, then any Epsom salt, table salt, glycerin or anything like that that you want to use. Go easy at first. Add HOT water to that until the entire mixture feels warm to YOU. Does not matter what anyone else thinks or feels it's going inside YOU!!! It should feel warm but not hot to YOU!!
The bag should lie around for a few minutes as you prepare the enema area and yourself. Then once ready to get into position hang the bag.
Figure out a position you can use Knee-chest is best(Careful, NOT knee-neck or you will end up with a sore neck. ) Make sure your weight is on your chest not the neck or head. Nothing should be pressing against your lower abdomen. If you are female it can help to put a pillow under your knees to allow for the breasts. You can wear an everyday, non-underwire bra, or not, up to you. NOT one that interferes in any way with your breathing.
Simms position, which means LEFT not right side with your right knee drawn up to your waist and your left hip straight with the left knee bent 90 degrees or more, woks as well Many newbies find it easier to relax in that position. Relaxation IS important. generally you don't want anything exerting pressure on your lower abdomen.
At least at first, no "over the knee," or leaning over the counter, or really even standing leaning over. Just too hard to keep your lower abdomen relaxed that way. In a chair never really keeps the nole in a good position either.
Wear something loose fitting around the abdomen. An oversize bath robe works. I have used a loose-fitting knee-length dorm shirt or knee-length night gown.
You CAN make your very first enema a disposable like a Fleet or generic equivalent, but you will be better off if you don't. Use a bag or can. it is for experienced enema takers really to relax the lower abdomen while till squeezing the bulb or Fleet bottle with the hand, wrist and arm muscles.
Start off with two quarts of solution. You may very well not get it all in the first time but you owe it to yourself to try. That first couple of times, it's OK to stop it, take a couple of deep breaths to gather yourself and open it again. If you turn out to like enemas you will soon come to pride yourself on NOT needing to do that!!
A good height for the bag is about 30 to 36 inches above where the rectum will be when you are in position. Ideal flow rate is about 1 qt per minute on the first round This is fast enough to give good sensation, but not fast enough to really cause problems.
Always pee before getting into position You want the enema and nothing else causing pressure in the lower abdomen.
Be absolutely SURE you have at least a good 6 inches slack on the hose once it is inserted. Tension on the hose is a disaster waiting to happen.
Not Totally critical your first time, but you do want t have an old washcloth or hand towel in easy reach in case you need something to twist or bite down on
ALWAYS relax on insertion of the applicator into your rectum. Don't resist!! let it go in. Normally no lube is required for the first round as your body's natural mucous membrane is still in place After the first round, you may need a SMALL AMOUNT of lube. Best is KY Jelly or one of the many much less expensive generics Vitamin E oil is OK Stay away from petroleum-based products like petroleum jelly because they are hard on the rubber and hard to fully clean. Make sure the applicator is pointed UPWARDS. Generally it should be pointed towards your navel. Imagine yourself trying to squirt the back of your navel with the applicator.
After it's in give yourself 5 minutes or so. Both to see if you are still enough to keep the applicator in, and to give yourself every chance to relax.
When you are sure you are as ready as you are going to be take at least 3 deep breaths as deep as you physically can!! If you fee like you need more deep breaths that's OK, do it! When you are ready Breathe in like that, hold your breath, pop the valve breathe out, then breathe the way your body wants to. Let it flow, and take in the experience. Look at the bag occasionally to see how you are doing, but don't stare at it First because it puts you out of position but also because at that moment you are kinda better off not knowing. Success is a completely flat HWB style bag, or that sight "Sucking" sound on an open-top bag or can.
Try to retain 15 minutes. That is the idea time. you may not make it your first time and if you do the last 2 minutes will be the hardest When you feel like you can't hold it, faster deep breaths will buy you a few more minutes.
Make sure before you start that the path to the toilet is clear and the doors are all open, or at least no sticking doors etc. Have the seat DOWN and have plenty of toilet paper.
When you get to where you can't hold it walk fast but don't run unless you are really about to leak. Sit on the toilet. RELAX!!! let it come out at it's own pace. What will usually happen is that you will get one large watery expulsion immediately and then nothing do a few minutes and than another and then nothing then another for at least 20 to 25 minutes. When the movements stop coming, it's OK to get up and start mixing the second round or just lie down or relax in a chair until you feel better . Don't ghet too fat fom the toilet, because you DO still have several ounces of enema left inside you. That's OK!! But your body may want to kick it out or try to that first 20 minutes or so.
You will feel a little wrung out! That's normal, but it doesn't last long!!
Take the second round only when you feel better.
Have fun and much success.
Enjoy
