The bag is what I usually use for my enemas. For years we had an 8oz enema bulb, the standard adult, drug store variety. I would use it for a quickie enema.
One time I let myself get very constipated. It was a weekend. It was early in the morning. My wife and I were still in bed. I wasn't feeling well because of the constipation. I told my wife. She asked if I would like for her to give me an enema. I agreed. I got everything ready. I gave her the full enema bag and laid down next to her. She started to give me the enema but I was only able to take a very small amount. After expelling what little I had in me we tried again, with the same results.
My wife got up and went in the bathroom with the enema bag. She asked where the enema bulb was. I told her. I heard her getting it and some other stuff. A few minutes later she came in the bedroom with the bulb and a small bowl with some liquid in it. She said that it was a mineral oil enema. She squeezed 3 bulbs of the oil into me and told me to hold it for at least half an hour but an hour would be better. The oil worked and she gave me an SSE and rinse later. This happened several more times over the next 10 or so years.
The bulb eventually wore out and got tossed. I/we went through a few enema bags as well over this time. One day I needed an enema and the enema bag we had tore. I told my wife. She said we need to go to the drug store anyway so we could get a new one. While at the drug store I couldn't decide if I wanted an open top fountain syringe or a combination syringe. My wife said that I might as well go ahead and get both since we would probably need them eventually. While we were there looking my wife asked about the enema bulb. I told her we didn't have one at the moment. They didn't have any bulb syringes with the enema/douche bag stuff. A female clerk came by and asked if we needed any help. Before I could say anything my wife blurts out that we were looking for an enema bulb. She said that they were out of stock on them and had been for some time.
As the clerk walked away my wife looked down at the display of bags and douche bulbs. She picked up one of the douche bulbs. She said that this one would have to do for an enema syringe.
We took our items and checked out. The cashier casually mentioned that it looked like somebody needed some serious help with constipation. My wife said that I was the one that needed it. She went on to say that I wear one out every so often and we might as well get enough to last for a while.
On the way home my wife opened the douche bulb and looked at it. She said that she wanted this new bulb for her and that I could have her old douche bulb for my enemas.
Since that day calls the mineral oil enemas my mineral oil douches. As in, "Do you need a mineral oil douche with your pink douche bulb." The first couple of times she used the douche bulb she commented on the larger diameter of the nozzle and asked if it didn't hurt. I told her it is a bit uncomfortable going in but once inserted it's not bad at all. Now when I need an oil enema she usually will give me 2 or 3 bulbfuls and that always does the trick.
