I have a P*I*E machine and it is something of a disappointment. If you expect to really have a surging feeling during a session, you will be disappointed. The surge volume is only a few ml, far less than with a Higgenson or even a Coloclean, when the outlet hose is crimped.
It is a complex machine to set up. You have to assemble the trolley, connect up the hoses, plug in the battery pack (hopefully you charged it), put in an empty poo bag. Then you can lie down and lube and insert the speculum.
On the plus side, the speculum is somewhat soft with a balloon and two side eyes, but no end eye. This means it can be inserted without an obturator and you can connect the hoses before insertion. The side eyes mean that if you are full of poo, the speculum is far less likely to clog. Given that a preliminary enema is not needed, but can be done, to avoid a plugged speculum and huge, stinky flood.
The balloon, when inflated, keeps the speculum in well, and you can relax completely and let the machine run.
You have a choice of modes: Pulsed fill; pulsing; release. The controller is dumb. When you are pulsed filling, you can pause and just pulse, but then it dumps the water. You cannot continue to fill.
When you are done, you have to deal with a few gallons of stinky water.
The supplies are expensive, about $100 per poo, but can be re-used. I bought a used one and have used it a number of times.
All in, it's a fun toy to try. I doubt it's anything like as effective as touted in relieving severe constipation. At least that's my feelings.
If you would like to try something like this, go to a colon hydrotheripist that uses a closed system or buy a Coloclean on the web.
