I was reading this thread and all I could think was, "My, my how times have changed".
Growing up I was of the generation where enemas were a staple of life. As a kid, even if you didn't admit that you receive enemas, there was a 90% certainty that you did and your friends knew it. I never had a problem, nor did most of my friends in talking about getting our enemas, because it was just part of the day's routine when they happened.
Adults, our parents, clearly and openly discussed both their own enema practices as well as what they did with their kids as coffee chat around the kitchen table.
I'm kind of looking back and recalling that it was the exception NOT to see enema equipment openly displayed in a bathroom. Usually hanging on the back of the door, from a towel rack, or the shower head. There was never any sense of embarrassment.
My bag still hangs on the back of the door to the bathroom in my bedroom. The 2 "family" units are the linen/sundries closet in the hall, and if anybody who needs a towel or whatever happens to see them (and other assorted "old school" items there) so be it! It's not a kilo of cocaine or severed body parts for gosh sakes!
Play safe!
