Finding a 'good' colon hydrotherapist is not any easier or more difficult than finding other practitioners. It's largely do you like their bedside manner and how they do the little things.
First of all, I would rule out anyone who does not use FDA certified equipment and disposable speculums. Many years ago, I went to a place that used home made gravity flow equipment that had a glass water supply tank. When I cramped, the water level in the tank went up, showing that water from my colon was going back into the supply. Not a 'good thing' IMO.
There is a professional association, I-ACT.org, that has a referral page that lists many practitioners.
Also, you need to decide do you want your session to be on an open or closed system. IMO, one is not better than the other... but they are different. Have no doubt that both will make you poo very thoroughly, but the feelings are quite different. Most therapists ho use a closed system give much more hands-on sessions; on an open system you are often left pretty much alone to fill and release at will. I would choose the Angel of Water machine were I looking for an open session.
As to the therapist's attitude, you must remember it's a business. Your hairdresser probably was not really warm and fuzzy foir your first appointment. You need to develop a rapport. You may be reluctant at first, but having a speculum up your butt and having someone control your filling and pooing can really develop a bond pretty quickly. Don't think about what's happening, just relax, and go with the flow.
Finally, colon hydrotherapists are NOT sex workers.
