Inflatable catheters, also known as double balloon nozzles is something I have heard of, but have never done.
Only time I ever actually saw one was in my mother's stuff, which kept turning up in unexpected places after she left. I must have been about 10 or 11. Dad had explained to me that my Mom liked enemas and used them frequently. Any time you go through her stuff there is a chance of coming across enema gear.
He had found a couple of boxes of Mom's stuff & he asked me to help. I went into one of the boxes and just reached in, there was this nice wooden box, like a jewelry box with a brass latch and brass hinges, nice wood and apparently lovingly polished. On the bottom, the unpolished side, there was a piece of paper with my name on it scotch taped to the bottom. I managed to peel it off without tearing it, It was a note - It said, (My father's name) Give this to Lisa sometime after she starts having periods, you will have to use your own judgement as to when, till then keep it out of her sight ! I popped the latch and opened it, It was a double-balloon retention catheter with the bulb and all the things that go with it.
About that time, Dad looked over my shoulder & without saying a word, I handed him the note. I then closed the box and gave it to him. That was the only time I ever saw a real balloon catheter. Not something I'm interested in. A few days later I got up the guts to ask him what it was. He explained it well and also explained that it is part of the sexual aspect of enemas, it is not for everybody.
He was not sure if it was the same one or one just like it, but Mom had insisted on using it during a couple of their enema sessions. He said that she never "got me to try it." He had never used one and was in no hurry to start. It would be totally up to me if I EVER used one. It was not something anyone had to do. He said that Mom had used them and wanted to use it on him, but he refused. He considered it a sex toy and wished I was a couple of years older when I found it.
