Before my last botox injections, they want a urine sample to make sure I didn't have a UTI or some other things in my bladder. The first sample was contaminated, so they asked me to come to the office and change my catheter and to bring one to insert. When I got there I checked in, went to the waiting room and waited. The nice nurse came in, called my name and we went to a room.
I had to drop my pants, she asked how much water was in the balloon, she got everything ready to put the new catheter in. She drained the balloon, asked me to remove the catheter, I pulled it out, she threw the catheter and bag in the trash.
She lubed the new catheter, had me use some hand sanatizer, then told me to insert the catheter. She had lots of lube on the catheter. I inserted the catheter, she had put a plug in the end and when I got the catheter in, she then inflated the balloon and then she removed the plug and hooked up the bag. She let the urine flow into the bag, then pinched the catheter off, inserted the plug, we waited a few minutes, I think about 5 minutes, she then took the specimn bottle, pulled the plug, let some urine into the bottle, she had pinched the catheter off, she hooked up the bag, told me to get dressed and I was out of there. She changed gloves about 3 times, maybe even 4 times. She used gloves the whole time.
At some point she offered me a drape to cover myself, I told her I didn't care if she saw me naked. She said fine.
I got some drugs because there was something in my bladder that needed treating. I got the drugs, they had a caution on them that it would darken my urine. The drugs did do that a bit. I did get some of the same drug that I had been taking after the procedure.
I wasn't a bit embarassed a bit. I have had so many women lately who have seen me naked and so I got so that they would see all that much.
I got a short hose, so they will see an old man's penis and that is to me no big deal. I am sure they have seen bigger organs than mine and so they get to see what happens with age. They don't comment, I doube they ever would say anything. All of the nurses are very professional.
