I think we are all aware, from our own experience, that when your mother said she was going to give you an enema, there was no escaping the treatment, and no amount of begging, pleading, or protesting would alter the outcome.
My question is this: did your mother ever suggest that you might need an enema, and leave the choice up to you? For example, the question “do you need/want an enema?” And then abide by your decision - and if so, what was your reply if offered an enema, and having the choice of yea or nay?
