Do you feel awkward discussing medical exams with outside medfet community?

Actually I've had several heart procedures done and everyone always want to know all about them and I don't have a problem telling them. This has included a colonoscopy once which I found to be pretty routine. Getting a cath removed got a few chuckles as I told them how the nurse just threw the sheet back and grabbed on. It was so fast I had no opportunity to be embarrassed.

I don't find discussing exams or medical things outside of the medfet community. I've had my fair share of personal medical issues that I've discussed with others, plus I used to be a paramedic. Now that mom is having more health issues, I'm usually the "medical interpreter" for the family.

I have had several occasions to discuss medical issues outside of the medfet community. Sometimes it was my medical issues; other times it was the person with whom I was speaking. I do not feel awkward having those discussions, What I don't discuss outside of the medfet community are medfet matters. I would feel very awkward discussing those matters in that situation,.

Which leads the question essentially to, who on zity and off zity were you comfortable with, and not comfortable with. Some were okay with wanting to play doctor. Your post seems a bit ambiguous. The non med fet folks were willing to hear your accounts and feeling about them. But you reserved any medfet play for zity folks, if i got that right.

I made my career discussing complex medical opinions to patients and their family. I have described catheters of all kinds. I even got to describe enemas with a professional wall up. Once gave enema instructions to the s/o of a very constipated oncology patient and the seasoned oncology nurse was more embarrassed than I was

I talk openly with my real doctors about real health issues, including sexual issues. I talk about real health issues with friends that may be experiencing some of the same things and a l talk a little bit with family members who are medical professionals. That is mostly on a need to know basis. I have agreements with some friends that we will limit our health issue complaints to five minutes unless it's really serious. I don't want to bore anyone with endless complaints about every little ache. I don't really mention that being on the exam table is a turn-on. I think some of my doctors are on to me though, since an erection is hard to hide.

I do feel awkward talking to friends about my medical issues, but at the same time no harm comes out of it. They are supportive and usually just want to know how they can help. Sometimes it is also nice to hear others' experiences. My current primary care doctor was recommended to me by a friend. Earlier this week I had a different friend ask me what to expect when seeing a rheumatologist and we have since opened up to eachother a lot about that.

The occasional play exam of course stays between my husband and I. My friends have no idea and I intend to keep it that way.

My wife has commented during a conversation that involved a female medical issue "you know more than you should about that". But she knows my interest in med play and shes a nurse as well. I once asked a female co-worker who mentioned that she had an appointment for a physical if she preferred plastic or metal speculums. She didn't have an opinion but I told her I preferred metal because they seemed more clinical. I know that she enjoyed that little talk.

I find it awkward because I need to be caring and inquisitive without being creepy. However my desires are to find out all of the intimate details so I can replay the exam in my head while alone.

this was pretty easy to accomplish when o was younger. The experiences were new to everyone. And people talked. Now you should know what to expect at the doctor and have less of a reason to talk about.

I have never and would never discuss my medical exam fetish with anyone outside this community. This is the case because I would never want anyone to know the level of embarrassment I feel during physical examinations, especially the genital and rectal portions. Like many men, I want to present the image of self confidence to others and would never want to admit the insecurity i feel with nudity if front of a clothed examiner.

I recently ran into a friend that I had not seen for several years. He too is with Kaiser. He informed me that he recently had hernia repair surgery. I inquired how the hernia was discovered. He said he had sudden groin pain and visited his doctor to check on the pain. He has been seeing this doctor for several years and likes him. I asked if his doctor ever did hernia checks when he went in for a physical. He said no. I described my recent physical which was not really a physical at all but a simple office visit. No undressing or checking for hernias etc. He said his doctor does not have him undress or put on a gown either at his physicals. Seems like more and more doctors are doing less and less. It bothers me because I have had health issues in the past that the doctor discovered by doing a more hands on physical. Our discussion focused on comparing doctor visits, not in a medfet context.

For some reason, talking about my private parts and issues is mortifying and humiliating, like being asked by my mom a question about my anatomy. Standing there in front of her naked doesn't seem to bother me or her, but talking about it is humiliating, so when she just indicates for me turn around and I just bend over spread legs and cheeks wide, exposing my most private parts to her for examination, I don't feel the least bit uncomfortable having those areas handled and scrutinized as she describes what she's seeing and feeling, as long as I don't have to describe what she's seeing feeling. I would like too respond too a question about wheather or not I am in my comfort zone talking about medical procedures and related medfit subjects. No subject is taboo enough too be permanently off the table for open discussion for me, but I don't know enough about these new concepts like medfit, too feel qualified too render informed opinions in that context, so for the time being I will stick too what I know, which is my own experiences in the shared experiences of people I know, and if those experiences are what Define med-fit, than I will Embrace that criteria as soon as I am up too speed.

Perhaps it might be disconcerting to you because you aren't familiar with the accepted neutral/medical terminology? I know I would rather drop through the floor than use slang, dialect or infantile words.

Awwww, c'mon you timid shy people, when the medical profession people are looking at you or asking questions, to them, it's no different to raising the bonnet of your car to see if there is enough water and oil in it to keep it running. For me it's a bit of a love/hate thing. Has to be the right time with the right folks.

I feel we discuss medical exams more in the real world. Med Fet people is a much smaller number. The real doctors are not med fet people. They have much more knowledge. The examination discussion is much more with a real people who accompany to the doctor. For example I tell my elder sister.

Now that you mention it that's funny. She doesn't talk about her getting aroused but how I'm going to be aroused. My first date with a derm was last summer. She was a beautiful blond who I discovered was my neighbor the week before my appointment. Because it was my first time my friend was kidding me about getting a hardon when she stripped me for the exam. She didn't, she stopped at my waist. I left with another appointment for this summer but she's moving to Florida so they moved me to someone else. The two of them look like twins except she's even prettier so my friend is back to the hardon thing again. I told her I'll take a camera with me in case it happens. I told them I've never had a total body exam, this was my first time ever seeing a derm and I expected that last year so that's what she set up for this year. We'll see if that's what I get.
