Why is there a difference between accepting anal sex and enemas?

Yes, but they should be inter related. Anal sex is becoming much more accepted in mainstream society. Many celebrities are sort of publicly admitting to enjoy it, Gwenyth Paltrow for example, Laura Linney also has given hints. (Dream on Right?) Now a days with a younger generation raised on the internet, anal sex is more seen as common. Enema sex is sort of different since it involves pooping. I know most of us are not into scat, but there is still sort of a Taboo that is related to enema sex being so closely related to scat, or may be perceived so by people not familiar with enema fetishes.

To me the "why" is related to the "what" (i.e., what are differences between the two).

As i see it:

Anal sex involves connecting two separate bodies together. Mutual physical sensation between both parties, and presumably, mutual pleasure derived from the sensations each is feeling. The release/sharing of orgasm from one person into another person. Planting seed made in a body is different than injecting water from a faucet.

Enema is penetrating another with something detached physically from the penetrator... to me, that detachment is not just physical, but psychological and can add a different mind fuck to the dynamic. Not sure how to put it? The penetrator seems more self possessed, the receiver more possessed? There's a different balance, or offset balance? i do think things like 'toys' or enemas can be a powerful sexual experience, extension of the one penetrating, depending on the person doing the penetration. Also, quantities, and substances can also have a very different effect on the receiver differently from what would come from a penis and another persons body.

Why is there a monumental difference between the acceptance of anal sex and enema? I mean, they both involve the same orifice. Why is sticking something up your ass that just sits there so much more accepted than sticking something up your ass followed by 2- 3 qts of water? The difference is the stimulation one gets from anal sex/anal toys and/or enemas - water flowing through the bowels.

One just starting out with anal sex should start out small and only go bigger after sometime, using plenty of lube. Patience can make the experience more positive. As opposed to rushing things and it being uncomfortable and painful. The wrong pain can mean no interest to repeat the activity again.
