It could be that the first time was painful, not all that satisfying, and therefore not a memory anyone wishes to recall?

I think for a lot of ladies it is a bit disappointing and they maybe do not want to remember it very much. I think it is a bit hard to describe it too.

Ok @inquisitive I really enjoyed my first time so I will give you your first answer though. I will try to describe what it felt like. It was when I was 16 and my boyfriend was who I would stay with and marry.

I have given this thread a descriptive title that gives the reader an idea of what is actually being asked. I don't believe its original title drew anyone in because it was too vague and could have been mistaken for a rehash of other topics.

It's my impression -- even these days -- that most teenage girls are very disappointed with their first vaginal experiences with boys.

Since most teenage boys are inexperienced - and probably nervous as hell the first times - no wonder first experiences for their female partners are not all that memorable.

This is another argument for having workshops in practical application of sexual techniques. If you can't practice, why expect someone to be good at a first try?

I'm only half joking here and don't ever expect to see something like that implemented of course, certainly not in 'Abstinence-Only' Country. But there have been other customs. In the Belle Epoque period in France, Belgium, Spain etc, it wasn't that unheard of for fathers (parents/uncles/aunts) to send their sons/nephews to a brothel for some practical initiation lessons.

Oh I am a fan of the post coital drip! There is just something about it that makes me feel really satisfied about what I have made my husband do inside me. It is just one of the things that makes the bond between us stronger.

I can definitely pass on the drip. If we have sex in the morning, I'll be taking a shower and swirling my finger inside under the running water to wash it out. The penis INSIDE the condom with semen inside allows for a much more slippery and fluidic sliding of the penis inside the condom inside the vagina than before the ejaculation.

Before I had my first sex with a real person, that was a time when there was no internet, not even access to porn movies. The most we had were magazines and books, the best being profusely (or less so) illustrated. I was lucky in being able to get hold of some early Dutch sex magazines, which were better than nothing. As far as instruction is concerned, I would have had sex in front of my daughters for clinical teaching purposes, except parents have gotten arrested for that and charged with child abuse and other sexual predator charges, so I did the next best thing for my daughters--X rated channels on TV, no child blockers on the internet and completely open discussions with them.

This does seem to be a problem in the UK at the moment. Many teenage boys are getting the wrong idea about sexual practices and what women want from sex. Girls are left with the impression the boys are insensitive idiots. Well, many are in any case, but keeping them ignorant and sending them down the wrong path sexually really doesn't help.

But what is the alternative? Continue to say youngsters should be 'protected' from seeing good quality pornography, and therefore 'protect' them from receiving certain knowledge?
