The three of them were finishing their steak dinners and were having pleasant conversations regarding any number of topics when Jenn changed the talk into the weather which was coming in for Saturday.

"The weather report is saying we are in for a day of rain tomorrow. Not a gully washer, but steady rain throughout the day. Any plans Tim?"

Kate listened eagerly as she knew where this was going. How would he react? Would he be available or off playing music?

"No plans Jenn, other than caring for the horses. Cleaning stalls, throwing down hay from the loft. Not a whole lot I need to deal with."

"No music jobs then?"

"Not this weekend, our guitar player had to be elsewhere so no bookings."

Jenn smiled and reached over to take his hand. "So maybe you would have some time for a couple of nurses to visit? You know to check your health and make sure all is in order?"

Tim was not expecting this. His mind began to race. What does she have in mind he wondered, but quickly realized he had a very good idea of what they might be planning. Before answering he felt himself blush with the idea.

"Oh look Jenn, you're making him blush. How cute."

Tim felt his face redden even more. "I, ah I guess maybe?"

Jenn gave the young man's hand a gentle squeeze, "I think it's necessary since it's been awhile. And I assure you Kate and I will take good care of you. So we will give you time to complete chores and come over around eleven? How's that sound?"

"OK, if you say so, I can easily be done by then."

Jenn released his hand, "I say so. Now that is settled I will clean up and take care of dishes. Kate sit back and relax, I will take care of clean up."

"Thanks, Jenn and thanks for the great meal. What are you up to now Tim?"

"I need to check on the horses, top off their water buckets and give them a little more hay. Jenn, I also thank you for the great dinner."

"You are welcome. And if you would like a cup of after dinner coffee come on back when you finish,"

"Hey Tim do you mind if I tag along?" Kate asked, "I have yet to see the horses and check out the barn,"

The two entered the barn to the sound of the horses nickering upon their entrance knowing they would receive more feed.

"This is fabulous. The barn is immaculate. You do this place right Tim."

"Yeah, well it's mandatory and not an option if you know Mrs. G. A great lady to work for but one better do things as she wants or there will be hell to pay." Tim went from stall to stall topping off the water buckets and then proceeded to add hay to their racks.

"Jenn has told me a lot about you. She said you worked as a cowboy? How interesting a job."

Tim laughed, "Well kind of. I worked bringing tourists on trail rides. I referred to it as baby sitting on horseback. It was called a dude ranch, but there was no actual ranch. It was on a small ski mountain and the lodge was always busy during ski season, but in summer just folks coming in for an hour's ride."

"Jenn told me you once had to rescue someone from a runaway horse? Like in the movies?"

"Yeah that actually happened. I just had a husband and wife out when her horse decided it was time to go back to the barn. The horse turned around and headed back. Told her to pull back on reins hard. Instead she got scared and dropped reins to hold onto saddle horn. Dropping the reins signaled to the horse run. And he did. Took me about a quarter mile before I could catch up and grab the reins."

"So you were the cowboy hero? How exciting."

"At the time is was just plain scary. I had to get to that horse before it crossed a busy highway. Horses don't check for traffic. A hero? As an old time cowboy would say No Maam just doing my job."

Tim finished putting hay in the last stall. Turning he found Kate standing before him. Her closeness caused him to step back, but the stall prevented him from moving away. She took a half step toward him.

"You know Jenn shared some other things about you as well."

"She did? Hope it was good."

Kate reached down to take his hand and inched closer to him to the point her breasts were in contact with his chest. "I thought it was good," she smiled.
