Leah sat on the table waiting for her flu shot, slightly disappointed at the lack of attention during her physical exam. It's not that she necessarily wanted to undress and have her intimate parts examined by a doctor, but her body was desiring that kind of affection. It just seemed like everyone was in a hurry today and that her existence would continue to go unappreciated and unnoticed.

Of course intimate exams are only for girls who are sexually active, Leah thought. Or girls who have some health problems. I'm not, and I don't, so I'm not worth their time. Before Leah could get too down on herself, the knock at the door came again.

"Come in," Leah said, fully expecting nurse Faye with her flu shot. Instead, she saw red-hair poke through the door, which she recognized as belonging to the receptionist.

"Leah," she said, "I was just running your insurance information and saw that you're due for your annual well woman's exam in addition to the yearly physical. We have an extra appointment slot, so did you want to go ahead and take care of that while you're here today?"

"Oh," Leah said. If it had not been for her waiting room research, she would be oblivious to what a well woman's exam entailed. But now, it was just what she had been looking forward to. "Sure, that's fine," Leah responded.

"Great, Dr. Crowler will take care of that exam too. Just stay put and he'll be in shortly."
