The doctor sits on the small rolling stool and rolls up between Meghan’s long, glossy beige nylon clad legs. He adjusts the lamp so it isn’t obstructing his view of her bare vulva. He sees her labia minora are almost hidden by her labia majora. He tells Meghan that he will begin with the external exam first, and she will now feel him touching her.

Meghan feels the doctor gently touch her womanhood, and feels him parting her labia as he inspects her. She has her hands folded across her abdomen, between her navel and sternum, and tries to relax her legs and abdomen as best she can by taking slow, deep breaths.

The doctor examines the folds of Meghan’s labia majora and labia minora, then briefly pushes up her clitoral hood to visually examine her clitoris, and to check for any adhesions of the clitoral hood. The movement makes Meghan shudder slightly and tense her shiny thighs. Satisfied all looks normal the doctor tells Meghan that she will feel him partially insert a finger into her vagina to check her Bartholin’s glands. He checks the glands at the 4 and 8 o’clock positions, all normal. He inserts his finger further, checking for urinary incontinence by using the pad of his index finger to milk her urethra while he has Meghan cough hard a few times. No urine leakage.

Next he tells Meghan that he is going to insert his finger all the way to check the angle of her cervix for the speculum insertion. Meghan dreads the thought of that.

The doctor inserts his finger fully, noting her cervix, and thinks to himself that Meghan has a small vagina and is quite tight. He tells the nurse that a medium Pedersen is needed and slowly removes his finger from Meghan’s vagina.

Meghan glances over to see the nurse unwrap a plastic speculum, insert a rechargeable battery with a LED light at the tip into the handle and light it up, making the speculum glow bright white. She wipes a thin coat of lube with her index finger on the blades then hands it to the doctor.

The doctor tells Meghan to try and relax for the speculum exam, and now she will feel him touch her again. He gently parts her labia and places the bills against the entrance to her vagina.

Meghan feels hard plastic starting to push into her, then penetrate her, causing her to lift her hips slightly, the speculum going deeper and deeper until she feels the doctor rotate the blades to horizontal. She hears the doctor tell her he will open the speculum now, she might feel some pressure or cramping. Meghan feels the pressure build inside of her while hearing four plastic sounding clicks, just like she heard earlier in the exam room next door. She now knows how her poor fellow new hire felt during her exam! Meghan curls her shiny nylon covered toes tightly, and tenses her thighs and calves but somehow manages to keep her vaginal and abdominal muscles relaxed. The doctor says she is doing well staying relaxed, now for some swabs for the Pap test. She feels a lot of uncomfortable pressure from the speculum, and now she feels a slight pinch and some cramping of her cervix as the doctor takes the swabs. She sees him hand the swabs to the nurse, who swishes them into a small liquid filled cup before capping it.

The doctor tells Meghan he will now remove the speculum, and that her IUD is still in place. She blushes a little at that announcement. She feels the blades slowly close partially as the doctor slowly pulls the speculum out of her, the pressure now getting less and less.

The doctor hands the speculum to the nurse, who removes the battery/light source and places it on a charger on the counter, then she disposes of the used specs into a biohazard bin.

The doctor tells Meghan that an internal bimanual exam is next......
