As a 55 year old male, at my last six physical exams, I was given a DRE while positioned on my back with my legs in the stirrups, as well as bent over the table.After I retired from the military eleven years ago, my wife chose a new primary care practice for the both of us. Whether deliberate or not, she chose a practice where the doctor, the PA and the nurse practitioner were all female.
