I had my annual physical this morning with the Family Nurse Practitioner at the practice my wife and I have been using for the last 11 years.———————-I had my annual physical this morning with the female Family Nurse Practitioner at the practice my wife and I use. It was the second time that I had her as my provider for an annual exam. She examined me last year as well. Like last year, she was very friendly, attentive and pleasant. When we talked before the exam began, I reminded her that she had examined my prostate and testicles in the lithotomy position last year. She nodded her head, and said she remembered.She asked me the standard physical exam questions. Then she took out a blue cloth gown, instructed me to undress and change into the gown, and left the room. I quickly shed my shorts, t-shirt and boxer briefs, and the pulled on the gown with the opening in the back.She returned to the room and started with the standard eyes, ears, nose, throat, and then listened to my chest. She then had me lower my gown to my waist and proceeded to give me a skin exam. She checked my chest, back, arms and leg.She then had me lay back on the table, and proceeded to give me a breast exam, which she did last year as well. I stared at the ceiling while she was palpitating the tissue. As she finished palpitating each side, she briefly squeezed the nipple. She pulled the gown back up when sh finished both sides.I watched as she extended and adjusted the stirrups and then had me place my heels in the stirrups and scoot down towards the end of the table. She stood at the foot of the table and rolled up my gown till it was above my bellybutton. I watched as she lubed up her finger. She told me to relax and slid her finger into me. She probably only examined my prostate for ten seconds or so, said everything felt fine, and removed her finger.She then had me stand up on the small pullout platform. She changed gloves, had me lift up my gown, and the proceeded to give me a quick check for a hernia, followed by a testicular exam.She then pushed the table extension in and had me stand on the floor, turn around to face the table, and bend over it. Just like the last three physicals, I was standing between the two extended stirrups, bent over the table, with my chest flat against it. She told me she was applying a little more lubricant to her finger. I then felt her finger at my anus. She told me to relax for the second time and slid her finger into me.She felt my prostate for ten seconds, withdrew her finger, and said that she was finished. I stood up and turned to face her. We talked for a few more minutes then she left the room so I could get dressed. Before she left, she placed a box of tissues nearby and said I could use that to wipe off any excess lubricant.
