Like most of you, I don't remember to have had an inspection of my penis and balls with a doctor, male or female, wearing gloves when I was a student in the last 50's or beginnings of 60's in France. I believe that it was very uncommon for a medical person to use gloves in such casual situtions. It was only in hospitals that the doctors wore gloves. Otherwise they performed the examination with their bare hands and washed carefully them after.
At that time we had a compulsory annual physical examination each year of school at middle and high school and it included always a serious examination of the genitals and a check of hernia, I was examined in the nude, especially at high school by a woman doctor who used her hands, they were cold but she did not wear gloves, she always washed her hands in a sink with soap after the examination which included not only a visual inspection but also a palpation of the testicles, a rolling of them under her fingers one after one, a lifting of the penis, even an opening of the urethral top of the penis.
And it was the same at a private doctor office if I had an examination of penis and balls. It was practiced by a male doctor without gloves.
And always the same after graduation of high school at physical examinations in university and superior school. The doctor touched the penis and balls without a glove at his hands.
And may be less surprising , the military doctors did not use gloves to touch our penis and balls or to spread the cheeks of our butts at the draft physical examination, it was always bare hands, even to insert a finger in our rectum for our first check of the prostate , we were clean since we had been forced to take a shower under supervision of non commissioners officers and our cleanliness had been checked.
It was an other time when the use of gloves was not wide spread in the medical field like it is today
