My upcoming physical

I have been seeing my current doctor for about 7 years.

He is the best doctor I have ever had. Outside of this world, he is super thorough, super kind and very attentive. You feel that you are in good hands with him.

I usually put off my exams, so I usually end up going right before the new year before another year kicks in. Last year, I put it off all together.

This past month I need a renewal on a prescription, so I called his office to renew the prescription. When I spoke to the receipionist, she said - "You missed your annual physical in December, lets schedule now". Just hearing the word physical usually stirs the excitement and nervousness inside. Especially knowing this women is going to know what is coming my way.

I scheduled it a week from the phone call for 930 AM.

I arrived at the office shortly after 9. The exam room was closed, and he was clearly in the room with another patient.

A few minutes later the exam room opened and a young fit guy about 34ish came out the room, wearing a suit and glasses. He was carrying his messenger bag. It was clear that he was not there for a physical, it seemed like he might have been there for allegories. Known the less, my mind immediately went to picturing him at physical - which I am sure he has had from this doctor.

The doctor saw me and called my name. The other guy was at the reception desk paying and signing his paperwork. The doctor stood at the door of the exam as I entered and said, "Ok come right in here, physical today so everything off but underpants and sit up on the table and I will be right back". I immediately thought how embarrassing that the other guy heard the doctor order me to my underpants. It wasn't until after the exam, I thought he has been in the same position.

I stripped down to my white briefs and sat on the exam table.

The doctor entered shortly after. We spoke about my medical history, covering every bit of it for about 40 minutes. We also chatted about life.

He always does a great job of putting me at ease.

Then it was BP in both arms.

Then pulse. The teeth and gums. Talked to me about going to the dentist. I had just been to dentist, so I could check that box.

Then Eyes, Ears, Nose and Mouth - say "ahhhhhh". Then lights out and did a pen light test with my eyes. He then pointed the light at the wall in various places and had me stare at that spot on the wall.

Then steth on chest. Breath in, breath out. Then he went behind me and pushed on my shoulders, he had me move my shoulders up and down, and he pushed up and down. Then he pushed down on the top of my head while I tried to push up.

He then put the steth on my back and as he listened to my heart, he said "cough please". "Harder"

He then asked me to lay back and the next thing was blood work. I laid there in underwear and he drew the blood himself, which he has always done.

After the blood work he took the steth and listened to my chest while I laid flat.

He then went down and up my legs feeling my legs. He got to my feet and checked the pulse in both. Then he looked between all my toes.

I continued to lay there and he came back up to my tummy area. He pushed up into my rib cage stating "hold your breath, now let it out."

He was a bit chatty during the exam, so the whole time making small talk. But this is the point in the exam when I become extremely nervous.

He then lifted each arm and pushed up under my arm pit. Doing so on both arms.

Then he asked me to raise my legs. He then pushed my legs up toward chest. Then he moved my legs in all different directions.

At this point he had me sit up on the table.

He then did my reflexes, with the little hammer. He included running the handle of the reflex hammer under my feet.

At this point, he always has me stand. He asks that I walk back and forth in the exam room, then walk back and forth heel toe heel toe then he has me squat down and stand back up. All this while wearing my underwear.

He then has me stand tilt my head back and close my eyes. As I do this, I can hear him by the cabinet putting on gloves and getting out equipment.

Every year he always says "For this next part I need your underpants off".

The moment comes that I remove my underwear and place them on the chair. Every year the feeling is always overwhelming to stand there completely in your birthday suit in this small room with a clothed man.

He sits on a little stool. The first thing he does is have me hold my breath and he pushes around on my tummy as I stand.

Then he closely inspects each testicle, asking if I do a self exam.

He takes his time with each ball.

This year I started soft, mainly because I have seen this doctor so often - but the minute the underpants come off I start to bone. By the time he is done with the testicles, my penis was pointing straight to the ceiling. He said "don't worry about the erection, perfectly natural".

I just stood there silent looking down at what he was doing.

Then he took my dick in his hand and felt from the base up the sift, looking in the slit.

He then pushed, starting on my hip bones until my base of my groin on both sides. Then he pushed up and said "look left and cough", "again". Then he repeated on the other side and said "give another cough" "again".

Then he said, "ok, lets do your rectal and prostate exam, up on the table on your side and bring you knees up. Have your butt hang over a bit"

I climbed onto the table completely nude and got into the position.

He made some small talk as he got the equipment ready.

He then said "first I am going to do a prostate exam, then Im going to use an anscope to look inside for hemmaroids, then I will do an anal pap smear."

The way I was positioned, my shoulders were a bit down on the table - So as he started with the prostate exam he leaned over me and it was hard to not look him in face, although i awkwardly looked away.

I felt his finger go deep inside and feel both sides of the prostate. He is extremely thorough back there. Then came the ansocope and then the swab.

All while I laid there naked.

He then cleaned me up with a wipe. At this point he said, one last thing - step over to the scale and we will do your height and weight. I had about a 60 percent boner still after the rectal and prostate. I stood on the scale for my weight naked, then turn around for my height.

he then said, "Great, go ahead and get dressed". He left the room and I dressed. He came back in about 3 minutes later, we chatted some more and he reminded me that I needed to give a urine sample. Another reason why I know the previous guy was not there for a physical because he didn't leave urine on the way out.

I have had other physicals with this doctor, so I know the drill - but it never gets odd. And its good to know he considers my health so much.
