Anticipation!

I live in the northeast and we have been overwhelmed with snow over the last two weeks. It just so happens that as a result of this my annual physical scheduled with my usual doctor was cancelled. He has given me my annual physical for years and is pretty thorough so it is never a big deal. However, the office rescheduled my appointment for last week not with the doctor but with the APRN (just so happens that due to another storm, this appointment was moved to this coming Tuesday). Here is where the story gets interesting. I have had a physical with the APRN in the office before and have discussed this on zity in the past. Her approach was much different and I enjoyed it much more. She retired in December and when the office told me that my new appointment would be with the new APRN Nicole, my heart jumped and I immediately searched the web to see who she was.

I was able to find her on Facebook and scoped her out. She is a very attractive young woman. I am guessing that based on the dates of her high school prom photos and college graduation last May she is 24 or 25 years old! I have a son that age and I am a 49 year old man and the idea of this woman examining my cock and balls, giving me a hernia exam and prostate exam has got me really excited and a bit nervous! The fact that the appointment has been rescheduled for Tuesday and they are calling for more snow has me frustrated. My head is full of questions and thoughts. Will she be nervous? Will she even perform a prostate exam? How many times has she actually given a man a real prostate exam or hernia exam? How thorough will she be? Will she require me to be naked, half dressed, or wear a gown? Will I stand before her while she sits on the stool and get my hernia exam then turn and bend over for the prostate exam or will she do the prostate exam while I am laying on the table in the knee-chest position? And so on.

I'd love to get perspectives from others who share in this fetish and who have had similar experiences so please share. I will update after my appointment with the facts.

I am 56 and called my primary care office in December for a physical knowing that the last physician assistant (PA) I had seen when I was age 50 was no longer there. She had left the office and subsequently passed away. I had read her obituary in the paper a few years ago. The office automatically scheduled me with another PA.

When I got into the exam room I knew things were going to be different this time. The nurse the first time (six years earlier) had asked me to undress completely before putting on the gown. This time the nurse said take everything off except my underpants before putting on the gown. The exam at age 50 included a genital exam and DRE to check my prostate. This time the PA said she did not feel qualified to check my prostate and would refer me to a urologist. She did not examine my genitals. She said she was the provider that typically did the gyn work at the office. 😮

I am wondering why they scheduled me with her. They must have just automatically transferred all the patients between the two PA's. She did order a blood draw but did not include a PSA. I did not catch it until I saw the results and immediately called to see if they could run it with what they had. No such luck.

She referred me to a urology practice will all male physicians.

That is an unfortunate turn of events and I am certainly optomistic that my experience with this young APRN is better than yours. I would always rather get my prostate checked by a female. Not that I don't like it when the male doc does it, it's just not as much fun.
