Thedocisin,
Perhaps another way to think about this...
Would you go grocery shopping, clothes shopping etc at a store you don't like? Would you buy brands, food etc that you don't like if you are able to buy what you prefer?
If you need to take your car in for a major repair, are you going to take it to someone who has the know how of how to do the repair, or do you prefer to take your car somewhere that you have a high level of confidence the mechanic enjoys what he does? If he enjoys what he does, cares about his job, more than likely this mechanic will make sure he does the best job possible and watches out to make sure other things connected to this repair do or do not need to be adjusted, repaired, replaced. The mechanic who is in it for the money is probably not going to suggest what he notices. Why? He knows if he does not say anything, you will eventually bring your car back again and he will make more money with the repair. Good example is putting leak stop products in your cooling system. It may stop the leak, do you know what damage those type of products do create into very $$$$$$$ costly repairs down the line vs just fixing the problem now?
If you are having bids on your home to be remodeled, what kind of company, builder, installer etc do you hire? Do you hire the one who cares about your budget, what is going to work best for your needs, your taste and style or are you going to hire the one who makes it obvious none of that matters. He is going to build etc how he thinks is best, and in turn will most likely line his pockets to his benefit with your money.
Now think about do you want a physician who enjoys and truly cares about what they do? They are discrete and professional and very thorough at what they do. They have your health and well being as their primary concern and interest for both you and for them as the one caring for you. Their bodies may betray them and reveal that they do really like their job in a way they hope you don't notice. They stay discrete and professional at all times.
Then there is the physician who is good at what they do on all factors. He/she is thorough, professional, blah blah blah. If truth be told, their motivation for working in the profession of a physician is about financial gain and profit mixed with prestige, recognition, ego etc.
I prefer a person who likes what they do, they are interested in me, not primarily how they will benefit financially, prestige, recognition etc.
A physician, PA, NP, RN, LPN, MA, CNA, tech etc are human, just like you are. More than probable, they would be embarrassed if you noticed that they had accidentally become aroused etc. This is the majority, not the minority. Yes, some are better at keeping the "off" switch turned off when there is a particular "piece of fruit" that may cause them to take increased interest. If they are discrete, professional etc, where is the problem?
Just my humble opinions and thoughts.
