Hey all, new member here by the way.
I actually do kind of like gowns, the main problem with me being a bigger guy is that a lot of the gowns are too small for me, and I'll go to put them on, and I feel a little like I'm going to rip through it like when Bruce Banner transforms into the Incredible Hulk, lol (especially the cheap paper gowns). Recently I've had to see a dermatologist a few times for a fungal issue in my groin, and they make me strip completely and put a gown on, but it wouldn't even come close to closing up in the back. And to be honest, it's not like it mattered, because the doctor had to inspect my private area anyway, so it seemed kinda silly to even wear it, though I did anyway.
Last time I saw my regular doctor, he wanted to inspect the same condition as well, so they had me strip down to my undies. I actually asked for a gown but they said they didn't have any and offered me those blue paper exam shorts instead. I tried them on but again, my larger proportions made them fit kinda tight, so I just disposed of them and kept my underwear on until the doctor showed up.
Honestly the only time a gown really annoyed me, I hurt my knee once and had to get an MRI, and the changing room and locker to store your clothes in was across and down the hall from the MRI room. At the end of said hallway was the door to the waiting room, but it was surrounded by windows, so basically the entire hallway was visible to the waiting room. So yeah, whoever was sitting in there got to see me from the back in my undies if they wanted. A few year and a half later, I had to go to the same office for an xray, and noticed the clear windows were now frosted. I think a few folks probably had to have said something about the view, lol.
