I had my first colonic at clinic in Los Angeles in about 1972, I'd been thinking about it for years, but it took me a while to get up the courage. The male technician was very disinterested in what he was doing, and it was disappointing.
When I got home to Boston I started seeing Mildred P. Burgess her colonics and enemas much better than expected and I was hooked. She used a gravity flow closed system. She told me about a woman in Concord, Massachusetts that had an open system, but I never tried it. I've had a lot of colonics, always closed system, until about 1995 when I went to a therapist in Portland, OR that had an open system. A Libbe. It was a very disappointing experience, the therapist showed me how to insert the tube, turned on the water and came back about 40 minutes later.
I enjoy the therapist being "in control" massaging my colon, and having conversation, which in a couple of cases has been about the sexual side of colonics and enemas.
My question, how do others feel about it? Do some of you want to be left alone during the process. I know one woman who does, so she can masturbate, but also likes the closed system for the massage and attention.
I've known a couple of therapists that also give enemas, like Mildred did, there was one in Portland, now retired and two in Southern California and there is a clinic in Madison, Wisconsin that will do an enema series. With Mildred I'd finish the colonic and that would be followed by enema with a colon tube that was usually pretty large volume, or I could opt for a series of enemas.
Has anyone else had a similar experience?
