Hello all!
After starting with a simple 2-quart drugstore enema/douche kit, I just treated myself to a new 4-quart set: http://www.xrbrands.com/Merchant2/product/KL740.html
Unfortunately, it seems the metal clamp that comes with it is junk, and has broken after only a few uses. What would be the best replacement clamp I can buy? It's rather thick tubing, although I don't have the exact inner/outer diameters off the top of my head.
Another finding: the tubing is over 6 feet long, which makes hanging the bag anywhere other than the ceiling a bit difficult, as the hose will sag and not be a straight run. When I'm doing a solo enema, it's not too easy to adjust the tubing at the end to eliminate the sag and get the last trickle of water into me. Should I cut the hose to a shorter length?
Also, I was looking at getting one-way valves and a flow meter (since both the bag and tubing are black, I can't see the water level too easily), but from what I've seen, I would need additional pieces of tubing so the valve and flow meter can be fitted. This ties into the question above, if I should cut the hose down, what is a decent hose length for each section?
Finally, the fittings between the bag adapter and the hose, and between the nozzle and the hose are REALLY tight. Obviously, a tight seal is a good thing, but it feels like I'm fighting way too hard to get the fittings attached. I'm not sure if I should have a slightly larger diameter hose, or if it is supposed to be that tight to get a good seal, hoping some experts can chime in.
I have no issue replacing parts such as the tubing if the bundled tubing is junk, I just want to buy good quality replacements. I've already gotten additional nozzles, as the bundled ones aren't the greatest. Had I done this right from the get-go, I would have bought something from a reputable name like Klystra, but I didn't get really into the enemas until I took my first 4-quart bag, that's what hooked me 😃
Thank you all for any help you can provide!
