Creating DIY / Homemade anal toys

Hi! I am new to anal play (I haven't even had anal sex before, but I would like to try it with my boyfriend). I am looking for anal stimulation through use of household items so I don't have to buy a sex toy.

I have read some suggestions from other topics on here, but to be honest most of the items seem like they would be too big for my new interest in anal play. What items (relatively small) can I use for some anal play???? Thank you!

I have found "Sharpie" pens to be quite good, just the right size to try out with, not the writing end of course!

I got some decent suggestions here. I have never had anal sex, bieng a straight male and all. But I do love anal play, and the feeling of something going into my butt. One issue that I face is having a little hole, and often time it seems like it tries to stop things from going in there, so I too cannot use many large items like people suggest. I must admit that I would love to try a banana. But since i can't yet i like to use pens. Just a simple cheap bic pen works fine. there not too long either so it doesnt hurt. I just take a little bit of butter to lube up the hole and slide it in and out. Sometimes too I just like the feeling of something being in there, so I'll take like a herseys kiss or two and pop them in there. Back in the days before the budget allowed me to purchase toys, I had a wooden broom handle that had a nice hemispherical smooth end that was a great prostate massager when lying on your back and the handle resting on a pillow for proper prostate aiming!

Also, get some smaller diameter bananas and peel them and try insertion, they are pliable enough to "give" somewhat while holding their shape.

As a teenage I used to use the handle of a hairbrush, if you can find one that looks to be a good size for you.

Coming to think of something I have not posted in other related questions, I used to buy various sizes (in diameter) candles. They are very inexpensive and nobody in the store will ask a question. You can use with or without a condom.

I wanted to modify a glass wand to roughen the surface just a bit... then I had to repair a 'rubber ducky' antenna on a cordless phone. Bought a short length of heat-shrink tubing at a local electronics store. The repair went well.

Afrter reading through the cool posts here I think there's promise to stuffing a piece of larger heat shrink with large marbles and getting just the curves I'd like in an anal toy.

I had a (brand new) short plunger with a wooden handle. I would stick it to the floor, put a rubber over it and kneel over it and guide it to my butt.

There all kind of dog toys that can be used as butt plugs and only cost a few dollars. Be sure to clean them really good before using for nthe first time. I would boil all my new toys before first use.

To this day, it is still better than anything I've purchased from the adult toy store. The long handle creates many options for positioning against something so you can push against it while you squeeze and spread you ass cheeks. The handle is smooth plastic with the most delight series of balls at the end.

I have spent my entire life making my own toys. I have bought a few, however, and with the exception of my wife's monster strap-on, I much prefer the ones I make.

ImDoug, I have both the toilet plunger, and the shorter drain plunger.

This one I've tried, the handle unscrews. This is a fairly large end for those that like a stretch!

If I'm out of town or looking for "some strange" in the toy department, I generally visit the produce department a local grocery. Carrot? Squash? Zuchini? Cucumber? Whatever, just put a condom on it and bang it out.

Today I wrote in another discussion how I would create a dart that can be thrown at someones butthole and slide in if you hit right in the middle. The idea was also to have the dart dipped in some spicy sauce like tabasco (depending on personal taste) to have a funny competitive dart game that makes every hit a punishment as well. In general I like to create odd toys for the butt. Does anyone else try to invent new and weird anal toys or devices or whatever? Any creative nerds with similar hobbies?

Sorry, I just don't think that would work at all. Even just going in 3/4" at the wrong angle could cause damage and pain. Plus it actually takes quite a bit of pressure to open the anus - more than you realize (I built fucking machines and found that out), so the 'dart' would need to be thrown quite hard. IMO I don't see this as a good idea.

However, what about ring toss? (I know they sell these in sex shops, but making your own is more fun) Take a plug, drill a hole in the end and put a 12" dowel inside and then get your ass up in the air!

Or.. open your hole with an anal speculum, or a plastic funnel. Then get your ass up and let others try to toss marbles or jelly beans into you.

For the ring toss, you can always use onion rings. They work nicely after you get the stick in the butt, but, if you are three sheets to the wind, be very, very careful slicing the onion!!

I really understand everyones objections and worries. So please let me explain a bit more elaborately:

When it comes to my thinking why this would totally work it really all boils down to the precise specifications and some little details. A while ago someone asked me if i could build a gun that allows you to shoot a suppository at the rectum from a distance and have it even go in. In this case it was very clear that this is not doable because an object as light as a suppository would have to travel at tremendous speed to sustain movement when entering. And even a little suppository would probably rip through flesh at that speed. A tiny dart or arrow made of metal would sustain movement and direction at a quite low speed. Of course you do not throw something like that at the anus like crazy. Just dropping it from one meter hight would provide enough momentum if it has the very right weight. But of course you would need to lube the anus a bit before and this will only go in if you hit right in the middle. As I said the tip needs to be round. Next thing you need is some kind of shield around the shaft that stops the motion once the tip of the dart has entered the anus may be half a finger deep. Behind the shield you need the fins to maintain direction.

I think if I could post a picture of that object it would be quite self explaining. I could easily make a sketch or just build it and take a photo but unfortunately my type of membership does not allow me to post pictures yet (I need more points from what I understand). That is too bad because actually I would love to post more pictures of toys that I crafted over the years.

Anyway I think i just have to craft that thing and find anybody willing to use it on me. Then I will report. And please no worries, I will make absolutely sure i do not get hurt!

I love the butt plug dart idea. Anne Rice wrote a very juicy novel back in the 80s titled ‘Exit to Eden’, which contained perhaps the first published account of a butt plug dart game. One of the novel’s main characters was a 30-something businessman who signed up to be a sex slave at a sex resort for the ultra-rich on a remote tropical island. In one chapter, his assigned dominatrix and trainer, a member of the resort staff, took him naked and bound to the resort’s ‘Sex Arcade’ to serve as one of the human components in various arcade amusements.
