Redstethguy, I will be 100 percent honest with you, and maybe I am one of the only honest people to post here, not that I am calling everyone a liar. Well, everyone's belly button is different, it's just one of those things. And depth perception is all relative, meaning what I think is deep may not be for you and or visa versa.
I have a very very deep belly button. And yes, I wash my belly button every single day I think, I mean I don't actually give it much thought to be honest, but I just know that I do. My belly button often has a bit of an odor to it. You can't smell it if you stick your nose up to it or anything, but you can if you take a q-tip and swab it out. It's not really really strong, but again, if you stick the q-tip up to your nose you can smell that sort of smell that happens when you have skin on skin contact. Sort of a topical yeast type of smell, but not nearly as strong.
I think I must have a much deeper belly button than most people because often when I stick a q-tip down in it it bothers me, it is pretty sensitive and sort of hurts. When I had my appendix out a few years ago it was done through a lap procedure which meant that one of the scopes went through my belly button. The surgeon in the hospital told me that I needed to keep an eye on my belly button to watch for drainage or if it started getting painful to come back and see him before the normal follow-up. He didn't say why and I forgot to ask. Wasn't soon after though that I was up seeing the hot studly hunk of man meat of mine and I told him my belly button hurt, and sure enough, it was infected a bit. Again, I can't see down in it, but Doc said it was not pretty. I guess it is so deep that not enough air can get to it to help dry it and heal it up as quickly as most peoples.
So yes, to be 100 percent honest, sometimes I do have a tiny bit of a stinky belly button. It is what it is and there really isn't much if anything I can do about it.
