I recently had some problems with an ear and sinus infection - the antibiotics and steroids they were giving me started causing problems with my kidneys. The fancy doctors didn't know what caused the sinus infection - a lot of tests were done, and my kidneys were starting to shut down. That scared the hell out of me - my regular doctor that I see mostly, was in my class in high school many years ago, I can talk to her and since I have become recently 'adventurous' in my life, I figured I'd better talk to her.
She's no prude - a couple of double dates with the Benton boys are stuff of legends, but the thing with my kidneys was scaring me and I had to 'fess up' just in case what I've been doing the past couple of years had something to do with my problem. It was hard - embarrassing, to own up to my new found sexuality, but part of that was masturbation. Part of my masturbation involved enemas - oral sex, and other things I have written about here, and she listened, more as a friend who really knew how to help. I'll write about that more in another post - but the thing is, she told me to go easy on the enemas because of concerns over my urine output, but doubted if oral sex or masturbation played a part in my infections. She gave me my only laugh at the time - when she added, that is unless he put it in your ear or up your nose, then maybe there could be a connection. š She assured me that all my blood work came back without any sign of an STD - but I was one scared little camper for awhile there. Yeppers - it was something I had to tell, her, because I was in a bind and figured it was important.
I'm doing better now - lots better, but unless there is some medical reason for it, whether you masturbate or not is pretty much your own business. Like my doctor said - she does it, and about every other woman on the planet does it too, she pretty much figures that in when she sees a patient and only asks when it might be a factor and even then she lets them know why she is asking.
