Do most GYNs listen to your heart when you go for a visit? My old GYN did not. But I went to a new one yesterday and she did. I had on only the gown and she opened it as if she was going to do a breast exam, but then she took out her stethoscope, dual head not sure what brand, and listened to my heart for a LONG time. I was not wearing a bra, so my breasts were very exposed. She listened in about 4 places above my breasts, then below, then on each side, then in the middle. on the left side she put it kind of close to my nipple. It was so HOT and I have been wanting to be stethed like that for so long. My GP doesn't do it that way either. Then she did my breast exam and I thought I was going to die blissfully.

Yes, my gyn always listens to heart and lungs at annual exams and at the initial prenatal exam.

Usually done over the gown, but yeah, they listen.

Sorry not a lady lol. Yes they did at the one I attended with my mom and the one with my sister. I definitely would of been concerned if they didn’t at my sisters as she was pregnant so it would be really important. Both of them had their gowns lowered and breasts exposed when the doctor done the back they done it at the opening since the opening goes in the back. Only lowered to do the front.

Personally, I never practice pulmonary examination with a stethoscope during a gynecology consultation.

I take patients' blood pressure when it comes to follow-up on prescription pills or for regular check-ups during pregnancy.

On the other hand, I always start with the chest and the palpation of the breasts.

And I confirm that you are right, this is an asset that helps insert the speculum without lubricant to perform the Pap smear….
