I'm curious as to how many here have been to colon therapist who also gives enemas?
In the 1970's Mildred Burgess in Boston advertised both, and I have to say gave some of the best, even though very clinical. She was one of the few who could get a colon tube into my transverse colon and had no qualms about adding more water to the bag... one of the few times I've gotten over 3 quarts. Yes, she used real red rubber Davol bags!
In the 1980's in Hamtramck, MI you could get the therapist to give you enemas once you got to know her, she admitted she loved to give enemas to those who enjoyed them... and you did get a barium x-ray (single shot of your first visit). I also visited a Chiropractor with a colonic machine in Colonial Heights, VA they gave barium enemas, showed you the results, then usually recommended a series of colonics. (A young woman where I worked had some skin problems, and was taking colonics at this clinic to see if it would help, it did, and she talked about how much she liked colonics, talking a number of her co-workers into trying them. She would take any person who had shown interest with her for a session to watch her get a colonic. This was a large corporation, I was a senior manager, so I had to keep my interest to a minimum, but about half the people that went with her tried it.) OK, back on topic...
In Pittsburgh I bought into a failing clinic, and yes, I added enemas....and I turned it around and I sold it back to the woman I had brought it from when things got better. A story for another post.
It wasn't until I opened an office in Irvine, CA that I met another therapist that would give enemas... and this was interesting, on my very first visit, about half way thought he colonic she asked if I was there for the sexual side! I told her yes, and from that point on we gave each other colonics and enemas, an arrangement she had with several clients, male and female. I stopped seeing this therapist after I realized she was talking her clients into bringing their children as young as 5 or 6 for colonics and enemas, she said it was easy to get some of them hooked. Having heard some stories in detail I decided it was time to move on...
Since, like most of us, being given an enema by another person is better than solo, and I like a clinical situation. So I started contacting therapists by email and asking if the also gave enemas. Most don't, but I did find one in Palm Springs that would, and she was very, very good. She could easily get the contents of a 2500cc E-Z-EM bag into me and massage everything from my feet to just a millimeter or so from the "nether region." I never crossed the line, because I didn't want to spoil a very good thing, but I was pretty sure I could have gotten "relief." Always three enemas, and timed to take about an hour. I'd make the trip about once every three months, until I got transferred to Munich, Germany. When I got back she had sold the business and moved to Fresno, I haven't been able to reconnect.
In Portland, OR Olivia Kappel would do both colonics and enemas, until she retired and moved away.
A few years ago I advertised on Craigslist looking for a person to give enemas, and got surprisingly good results. Quite a few had no experience, but were willing to try, there were a couple of nurses, and a couple of enema curious, a prostitute, and one person who accused me of being a pervert. I finally settled on woman in her late 30's, she was good at it, we became good friends, and when I half seriously asked if she would like to try it, she said yes!
Then I retired and moved away... Darn...
Looking again....
