Hair Removal

I'm trying to figure out what to do about getting rid of pubic hair. I'm looking for something that is more convenient than shaving. Depilatory creams seem unpleasant, and I'm looking to be totally hairless, at least pubic and ass area. Just feels cleaner, and my wife prefers it. I've researched it, and the options I have come across are waxing, shaving, and depilatories, at least in the relatively inexpensive and temporary world. Shaving is an itchy hassle all the time, which is why I'm looking for options. Anyone have any advice?

I usually go with shaving which feels really great after it's completed. My problem is how to deal with the itching when the hair starts growing back.

Shave everyday and the skin will get use to it. Done it for years and have no issues at all.

Shave and you'll get used to it or use a depilatory cream for sensitive areas

WAX lasts a long time and there is no stubble. The longer you wax the less hair that grows back. Easier to let a professional cerologist do it and a lot less mess. Also with somebody good it is minimally painful. I learned a lot about waxing from my cerologist and could do it myself but she is so fast and minimal discomfort I would rather let her do it. When I started waxing at home I got wax everywhere and it took forever. Shaved for years but would never go back to that after waxing.

I waxed for several months last year then got busy and was out of town a lot and went back to shaving. If u wax often enough it is the best. I would go every 5 to 6 weeks and after the first 2 the pain really went down Of course some waxers are better than others and some will not do guys. The best part is when it grows back it is soft and thinner and not stubbly like when u shave.

There are electronic devices that you can purchase that work well. One is called NO NO and is shown often in late night informercials. Tria and Remington also make similar models. They all cost in the neighborhood of $300. I have an older model of No No but still wax once a year at the beginning of the summer. You have to hit every hair follicle with the NO NO and it's just faster and easier to wax. After years of hair removal down there, I have almost no growth no matter how long I go without a touch up.

Try persevering with the shaving. When I first started shaving my pubic hair it was fairly time-consuming (or at least the first few times) and pretty uncomfortable with itchiness and red bumps. I found it was only itchy if left for more than a couple of days and once I started shaving on a daily basis the problem went away. Once you're shaved its surprisingly quick to run a razor over your pubic area and keep it smooth. After a while it just turned into a regular daily routine and I don't even think about it any more.

I've heard mixed reviews of the NoNo. I have a home IPL unit that has given me mixed results. About the same price point.

I was hoping to hear better things about the No No as well. If it worked well I was considering one. Oh well.

It's becoming pretty obvious that, among the home hair removal products, cheaper might be better.

Shaving, waxing, depilatories are cheap and work. The devices don't have a stellar record, especially for the money.

The only reputable laser place I could find in my area that will work with male genitals costs $400 per session. It's owned and operated by a dermatology group and laser sessions are always performed by one of the doctors. The benefit was that they had every kind of laser and choose the best one for your hair and skin.

Every place I've seen on Living Social, Groupon, Amazon Local or the other similar services will only work on men's face and body, not the bikini area.

I understand that the No-No advertised on TV (well UK TV anyway) uses pulses of light to destroy the hair in the follicle. Whether that is safe or painless I don't know.

However, I also understand (but stand to be corrected) that the pulses that it emits are deliberately limited in number and the device will cease to work in due course. For nearly UK£200 that's a bit much!

In the US, the NoNo is heat, I believe. IPL =Intense Pulsed Light, basically a powerful camera flash held against the skin to fry the hair follicles.

Come on Larry, lighten up. Terrible is a pretty harsh description of female genitalia. Maybe you just need to get out more. Most men's genitalia are scary looking even when covered by major bushes. Plus, it's not all about the looks. If it's that bad, just close your eyes.

The first time is most uncomfortable, but the pain is fleeting. Waxing successive times causes much less discomfort.

I waxed once. Ouch!!! I also tried creams etc. I shave now but I am hearing good things about the NONO.

JayMak, I'd simply wait it out if you're a naturally furry type. Trends and fads around human appearance come and go. Trim it and stay clean and you'll be just fine.

Today is the first day of me trying to look a little like a woman, aka cross dressing. I bought a nice outfit and I knew I needed to have all my hair removed. I went to the store and got two products, Nair hair removal cream and the old fashion razors with shaving cream. I have already been shaving my private area for like 12 years.

I am looking to remove all my hair including my pubic hair. I want to get rit of having to shave it, but I am not feeling okay about using the Nair on my pubic hair, as it states its not to be used for this. I might try one day just a little bit.

I first started with the Nair removal cream, since I figured its the easy and quick way out. The first place was my chest. But it did not removed all my hair so I used the razor blades with shaving cream next, which removed some more hair. Then I used the Nair on my arms, again leaving quit a bit of hair behind so here also the razor blade. Then my legs, I first used the razor which sucked, hardly no hair removed, so again the Nair, and then one more razor thereafter.

The Nair worked okay, but it smells. I did rinse in the shower and bathtub to make sure nothing stayed behind.

I think since it was my first time I probably had to much hair for one treatment. I will probably have better luck next Sunday, as I can only do this on Sundays.

What happens at home stays at home, for the time being. 😃

I may be too late , someone else may have already posted this . I hear ads on the radio for Laser Hair Removal all the time. They claim to be a permanent solution .
