Besides vintage Toddler Pampers, which have not fit me for decades now, my ultimate diapers are the birdseye prefold cloth diapers my caring and expert seamstress made for me. They have four layers of white birdseye cotton covering two layers of thick pink cotton terrycloth sewn down the middle as a soaker. She serged the edges with golden-yellow thread, and even sewed embroidered ribbons on the tops of the diapers for this adult-toddler diaperboy (and, maybe, just maybe, someday, for his Mommy) to enjoy. (One is little blue duckies swimming through yellow reeds; one is multicolored railroad cars behind a choo-choo engine. Too cute! I have self-portraits.)
The diapers are massively babyish, incredibly absorbent, unbelievably comfortable, easy to pin on, unpin, and change, and readily cleansed by dunking, rinsing, soaking, and washing. They also double as an impromptu puddle-pad when I run out of the 'sposable ones. I wear them with big rubber pants over. No leaks! They get softer and more absorbent with each washing. I love them!
Though my prefolds fit snugly and stay up well when properly pinned-on, there is always just enough room for me to be comforted and stimulated and pleasantly reassured inside the diaper. The fabric cradles me when I am not excited, and caresses me with mind-blowing frottage when I am excited. Perfect for regression too. Just right for the incontinent, the diaper-lover, and the adult-toddler within. Such a blessing.
