In reality it happened in the ER. Honestly I was so sick at the time I didn’t care in the least. In a play exam it would be sexy as fuck. Part of the fun of a play exam is the objectification of the patient and this would just add to it.
It's never happened to me, but reading through some of the posts on here, would love to have the actual doctor listening to me and telling a junior doctor what to listen to and then them also putting a second stethoscope onto my bare skin at the same time
My ideal play involves more than one doctor, as it involves many specialties. I wouldn’t mind them having assistants/observers either.
I have been examined by two doctors on several occasions. They were very good friends and both experienced in the doctor role and in doing it together. For me it certainly increased the embarrassment and humiliation factor as they would discuss and comment on my body as if I wasn't there. They would also discuss the next procedure they were going to carry out which heightened my vulnerable statusOn one occasion there was a third there to observe and take photos
I have an ongoing issue with both fungal and bacterial infections on my feet, and I've had multiple doctors/interns look at the same time before. I actually find it helpful just because a new person in the room can sometimes add new insight, and I like that.
Before I had my testicular ultrasound (mentioned in another thread) the two female doctors were palpating my testicles simultaneously. You could say there was one doctor per testicle, so I definitely felt taken care of. They were squeezing them for like 5 minutes straight, while discussing the findings (consistence etc.) as they switched the testicles, so they both got a feeling of the painful one and the healthy one. Eventually I started to feel pain even in the good testicle and I let out a burst of laughter. I promptly apologised and explained that now both of them feel sore from all this squeezing. I didn't want them to think I am getting too excited about the exam, but it was definitely a memorable one.
A few years ago, I ended up being referred to an ophthalmologist for issues with double vision. Ended up with 2 doctors in the room both trying to figure out what was going on. Both good looking guys so I didn't mind. And yes we did eventually get it figured out and get the double vision stopped which was a relief.
In my most recent physical, my normal FNP stood in the back and asked a few questions but allowed her student to do much of the physical. The student listened to breath and heart sounds and did some of the tapping required for bowel sounds. That was the limit of physical touch unfortunately.
Back when I was about 7 or 8, me and a younger brother were getting physicals together. (I wouldn't watch his though because I didn't really like doctors at the time) But this one time there were two younger doctors who appeared to be in their mid-twenties. I couldn't tell at the time, but they had to be interns. One man and one woman. They did their usual things, taking my blood pressure and temperature then moving to my brother. But when it came to being auscultated, they both seemed eager to try their stethoscopes out on each of us. Of course, I wasn't examined by both at once, but both at different times.Looking back, I wish I liked doctors when I was little. That memory is now one I enjoy rather than dread. 😃
Never happened to me but if my current Doctor woulds to exam me with his colleague I couldn't say nothing and I would must submit to this decision. It would be fun surely, but the point is that in my case is up to my Doctor to decide on this.
I've had a dermatologist and a resident examine me at once. The resident was pretty hot… It was actually a problem 😄
I've had a few of occasions where a Doctor and a Resident/intern (don't know which) both examined me. This was at UTSW in Dallas and at a clinic in Colorado. In each case I was included in any discussion they had. They seemed to value my inputs. Certainly not awkward.
I am an Englishman, Married to a Thai Lady, And living in Thailand. Just over twelve months ago, had nasty fall, and went sprawling following my Wife, And just got up, and carried into immigrations Office. Two days later, I could not walk, Move my head, or bend down- or Grip things at all. Taken to hospital, Where I was seen at Admittance By the Duty Doctor, who arranged for 32 X Rays. An hour later, SEVEN doctors were around the bed space- ONE Female doctor, told me in English, The only thing was, I had a chipped bone in my Right Wrist, which they put in a sling with a cast! It has taken over a year, to be able to get up off a seat, And walk nearly OK again. I still thing about SEVEN doctors!
It happened to my wife once . She had a nasty spider bite on her butt crack, the Nurse asked her to remove her pants told her she could leave her panties on. First Doctor came in took a long look and said he want the other Doctor to consult on best course of action she was a little embarrassed with. Me a nurse and 2 Doctors looking at everything on display as she leaned over the table. She got 2 shots in the butt and a antibiotic cream
Had a cystoscopic exam for a bladder bleed about 15 years ago and the urologist called in his female partner to consult. They decided to use electrocautery and she looked at the screen while he cauterized the bleed.
I've had more than one ‘doctor’ in the room of a few occasions, but usually not for a full physical examination. One time I went to see a new doctor for a med refill. She was attractive and in her early 30's, but she had an absolutely beautiful young medical student with her. I said something about needing a exam, as I hadn't had one in a while, but the doctor said that she would be happy to do one, but I'd have to reschedule for another day.A year or two ago I went for an annual physical and had a young male medical student see me first. He did the basics of the H&P while I was fully dressed. He asked me if it would be OK if he gave me a rectal exam. I said it would. He waited until the doctor (an Indian female in her 50s or early 60s). I got a kick out of hearing the medical student describe me in the third person while talking about me, even though I was in the room with them. He told her that “the patient has consented to a rectal exam, and I would like to perform one if that is alright with you.” She stated that is was OK, so I bend over the bed and dropped my pants so he could give me my rectal exam.I'm a bit of an exhibitionist, so I kinda liked the situation. I would have preferred it if he was a female, but I still liked thinking that my butt hole was perhaps the first one he had ever looked at as a medical student, and my butt may have been the first he ever put a finger in. I kinda wished I had offered to let him do a GU exam as well, but I'm sure I would have been erect, and it would have been embarrassing to let them see that.
Where i go to is a teaching hospital and they tend to ask patients if they would mind if anywhere from 1 to however many students they may have at the time, i always say yes it is fine with me, not just because i rather enjoy this part but also more importantly i love helping anyone to learn 😃 also i have had to go inpatient multiple times for reoccurring mrsa and/or cellulitis infections with high fever and i noticed they would always assign a team of up to 6 doctors at once… it is quite an experience having 3 doctors on each side of one's hospital bed multiple times a day, i found it to be funny but also comforting to have most of them say “ hi Luna, i saw you last time you were in for this” they always were very nice and cool every time too 😃
Oh my gosh yes I’ve had more than one doctor look at me. when I had my last colonoscopy at a learning hospital they rolled me into the examining room half sedated and I can remember three doctors looking over me as they were getting ready to do the colonoscopy. Every one of those doctors looked at my rear end including two of them being ladies but that was OK. I just wish that I could’ve not been sedated if they had done a rectal exam. lol
My exams normally included a doctor and a nurse. Sometimes they’d be in the room together, but it was more common for them each to do certain things while the other wasn’t there. There were times when they would talk to themselves, but usually they kept an open dialogue with me. There was one time when I was examined by a doctor, nurse, and student; in that case they talked a lot amongst themselves.
Yes and no, it was a med student. When I was around 11 and my brother 9, my doctor had a medical student shadowing him. And I embarrassed my mother by jokingly saying “he (the med student) can exam him (my brother).” My doctor just laughed and said he wanted the student to exam my brother because he had a heart murmur anyways. The med student stepped out during the genital exam.
