Dear Walt, I am sorry for your loss. No words can express what you are going through, and already have been through.
I wish beyond life itself as a medical professional and a humanitarian that the "vodo" treatments for lack of better terms, would actually work, or at least prove helpful to either stop, eliminate, cure, prevent, or heal those in whom put all their hopes, futures, and money.
One of the first things I was taught in school is that my biggest job is to educate the public. This is another example of why my job is as important as it is. I believe through education maybe things like this would be less likely to happen, and more importantly, maybe stop happening all together.
You Walt my friend, are in a position to teach those of us who are younger, those of us who might be just starting out on our path instead of nearing the end. I know you are hurting and sad. Make your friends death count and have meaning. Use him as an example to help educate and possibly save others. If he is anything like you, he would appreciate knowing that he helped save a life. It is a feeling like no other.
May he rest in peace Walt, and may you find comfort as well. Best wishes.
