The memories of my childhood doctor's office are burned into my mind. One detail: each of the exam rooms had a mirror on the wall at the end of the exam table. (The tables were placed in the corner of the room, with the long end of the table against one wall and the short end against another.) I don't ever remember the doctor telling me to look in the mirror. But by my teenage years, I was fantasizing that the purpose of the mirror was to observe procedures involving the rear end while lying on the stomach.
Anyone else ever notice a mirror?
