In the past couple of years in the UK doctors have started measuring their patients waists and hips, as both an indication of diabetes and for obesity. Does anyone else really enjoy this practice? Is it common place around the rest of the world?
I've had a couple of times where they've attempted to do it over clothes, but I always "suggest" that the fabric would add to the measurement. Which of course true and it's more accurate against skin and also more enjoyable of course.
