I found this on another board:
There was a new medical show on ABC TV tonight that had a female urologist and two male patients. The show somewhat hit on the "opposite sex" situation, embarassment, etc. The first male patient looked to be in his late sixties (I am a bad judge of age) and the doc examined his penis and scotum then had him turn around and she did a DRE to examine his prostate gland. The second patient was around 30 and had an operation to reverse a vasectomy.
The female doc said that when she started in urology, her mother thought it strange that she wanted to be in a branch of medicine where she would be looking at male genitals all of the time.
