Please forgive me if this is the wrong forum for this. I did look around it is seemed to be the best place.
So, playdocs, where is your practice set up? I have half of a room. One half is my office and I put up one of those curtains or room dividers made out of the long slats that you hand from the ceiling to partition off my exam room. It has a narrow opening into my office and its existence is quite miss able to the casual observer from my side.
I have a Ritter exam table with stirrups, the drawers are stocked with assorted goodies, speculums, thermometers, enema syringes. breast pumps and other assorted stuff I have picked up over the years. I also have a super nice enema bag holder.
I also have a nice doctors scale, and a real "snake" exam light. I have a book case with medical texts, and a small table to lay the tools for the exam out on. It is very realistic looking. Most everything is real. About all I am missing are some exam gowns, and I have pondered learning to sew to make them. I think it would be pretty easy to modify something like a pillow case, and a roll of paper for the table would be nice.
Anyway, this takes up bunch of real estate. I am pondering selling that house and I don't really have a similar space in the new house. I was pondering setting up next to my sauna, which needs to sit where it sits because the ceiling is an A and the sauna needs to sit in the high point. I also have folks over who are not into medfet and we do use the sauna. I have pondered putting the table there anyway, but retracting the stirrups and covering it up and if asked saying it is a massage table. Might be a way to feel some folks out too. I dunno.
So, if you are a play doc, where do you have your practice set up and is it dual purpose space or just used for med fet? If it is dual use space, how do you deal with the logistics of that?
