It's so nice to see that there are some newer posters with enema interests. COS & Redbulb covered the issue quite well as the interest may be more common in men of a certain age. I am 58 and have had a keen interest in enemas for more than 50 years. Enemas were the most common treatment in my home as a youngster. A small amount of warm water, and an occasional additive of soap, seemed to be the cure all for just about any malady.
Most medical or homemaking texts in the first half of the 20th Century seemed to advocate for clearing the bowels as an adjunct to solving various medical problems. Hospital stays almost always included an enema as part of a preparation or before release.
Perhaps my fetish initially developed as part of a survival instinct. I was embarrassed to death to receive an enema and tried valiantly to fight off those unwanted ministrations. Eventually, I realized that it was useless to fight the inevitable and learned to enjoy the relief at hand. An earllier than usual development into puberty, and I was hooked for life.
I knew the women around me; mom, grandma, and my sisters, were well aquainted with fountain syringes, nozzles, and douching equipment. I was likely a bit jealous at the acceptability to employ or use those wonderful instruments that I came to have such a passion for.
I have overcome most of the emabarrassment factors and relish any opportunity to discuss or engage in open practice of this simple pleasure. I hope all of you find comfort and extreme pleasure in using this age old procedure.
